The King of Queens was a very successful sitcom for CBS 15 years ago. But times have changed and so have audiences. Will Kevin James’ new sitcom, Kevin Can Wait, also be a hit in the ratings for the network? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Kevin Can Wait revolves around Kevin Gable (Kevin James), a newly retired police officer. After 30 years on the force, he’s looking forward to relaxing and spending quality time with his wife (Erinn Hayes) and their young kids (Mary-Charles Jones and James DiGiacomo). That plan goes awry when his elder daughter (Taylor Spreitler) and her fiance (Ryan Cartwright) move in. As a result, Kevin’s retirement dreams get put on hold. Kevin’s friends are played by Leonard Earl Howze, Gary Valentine, and Lenny Venito.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/23 update: Kevin Can Wait has been renewed for season two on CBS. Details here.
5/9 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Kevin Can Wait TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for second season?
Unless Carrie, Arthur, Spence and Danny show up soon, yeah, to the bone yard pronto!
Show sucks. Cancel.
Renew- give the show a second season!
Don’t Cancel! The cast is great and the show is funny!
We LOVE the show… we were late comers…. but are catching up on all the shows we missed. It is HILARIOUS!
PLEASE don’t cancel! Kevin is HILARIOUS!!
PLEASE don’t cancel! Kevin is hilarious!!!
Keep it on air! Awesome clean show it a breath of fresh air in tv nowadays.
I love the show. I keep looking for it. I also liked Mike and Molly and it was cancelled for a stupid reason
I love it. Hilarious
i think i love it. that old sitcom, “the king of queens”, was okay.
but it’s got a brand new.
the second season will be someday aired on fall preview.
It’s just not that funny, King of Queens is still better.
I really enjoy the show and I am a big King of Queens fan. Kevin is a genius comedic actor and never disappoints. I also like Erin, who plays his wife Donna. Very funny too as is the rest of the cast. Please keep the shows coming. It makes me laugh, and I have been going through hard times.
I don’t think it’s funny that a so-called responsible man continues to be a self centered ass hole. Why is that funny, bc he sucks at all of his responsibilities? Dumb show, would have been popular in the 80s. He is so demeaning and gross. He is a liar – how funny.
yet you still comment on this page
Called right to express oneself. Freedom to do so.besides comments of all types are good. It’s helps other learn tolerance of other views.
Kevin James is still a star however his fellow cast is just brutal in Kevin Can Wait. He should try and pull off what Will n Grace are doing in ’17 and just bring back King of Queens and see where it goes!
CBS is not gonna do that because when it comes to their new shows they check to see if it is doing well in the ratings and if it is solid they will keep it but if it is not then they will cancel it and if the show does get cancelled maybe they can put that on the table for a future year
But it’s doing only so so.that problem. In fact time it’s on it should be ever better.but it’s not.cbs knows this hence is reason why it’s on the time it is. If it was on later it wouldn’t make it. Hence why it’s on when it is.its all about timing.
