What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, Lethal Weapon stars Damon Wayans, Clayne Crawford, Keesha Sharp, Kevin Rahm, Jordana Brewster, Johnathan Fernandez, Dante Brown, Chandler Kinney, and Michelle Mitchenor. The comedic buddy cop action drama centers on two very different cops working together on the streets of Los Angeles. While family man Roger Murtaugh (Wayans) has everything to live for, is there nothing Martin Riggs (Crawford) won’t sacrifice to avenge the loss of his own family? In season two, Murtaugh tries to support Riggs, while still keeping his own family in mind and trying to avoid the chaos his partner seems to seek.
Season One Ratings
The second season of Lethal Weapon averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 viewer demographic and 4.11 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 37% in the demo and down by 37% in viewers. Learn how Lethal Weapon stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will FOX cancel or renew Lethal Weapon for season three? The ratings are way down when compared to the first season’s numbers, likely because the series was moved to a new night and away from the network’s top-rated Empire series. For now, I think it will land a renewal, mostly because FOX has lots of other lower-rated shows. However, there have reportedly been some issues with Crawford so that could scuttle the renewal. I think you should accept Clayne Crawford’s apology and tweak the show to make his character a bit less outrageous and Damon Wayans’ character more professional. I can’t imagine a graceful segue to another actor in the role and I probably wouldn’t watch to find out. You just can’t patch together a plot line that would accommodate such a radical change. Pull Mr. Crawford in line, give him a mentor (like his character!) and push on.
Please keep the show and the cast!! It will not be the same! I only watch this on Fox and look forward to it weekly. The safety of all actors should always be considered and not overlooked. If he thought it was unsafe then it should’ve been looked into without a problem. If you recast Clayne you may as well cancel the best tv show on your network!

This is the best show on TV. Only show I watch on FOX, if it goes I go!! It portrays positive role models for ALL people, a rarity on TV. Just plain entertaining like TV should be. I understand Clayne has been acting out, but that is his character. Think of Heath Ledger as the Joker. Some actors really get into character and they can’t turn it off, give Clayne Crawford and Lethal Weapon another chance, it is well worth saving. Chemistry between the cast is perfect.
Perfect cast! Crawford is irreplaceable in this role. So sad..get past your differences! We need a season 3!

Love Lethal Weapon and it has to say on. I could not watch it with Clayne Crawford, it would not be the same. Please work out your differences and keep the whole cast. My favorite show of the week. Great laughs, great cast and the chemistry between Murtugh and Riggs is excellent.
Please work out your differences, adult TV stars. LOVE this series, the cast is perfect. By the way, what happened to Cruz, why isn’t he in the series anymore?
Anyway, Fox, you MUST renew with this series with the same cast. The only other thing you have going for you is The Resident and if Lethal Weapon goes, I am through with Fox for good.
