What’s up with Louie? At the winter TCA press tour, both FX chief John Landgraf and series creator Louis C.K. discussed the future of the series.
Louie‘s been on an “extended hiatus” since season five ended in May.
During the press conference, Landgraf said the decision to continue Louie is ultimately up to C.K. But he did mention that C.K. “certainly hasn’t promised me further seasons of it.” While that doesn’t sound optimistic, Landgraf continued by saying the two do discuss “making more seasons.”
Meanwhile, during the press panel for FX’s new comedy Baskets, C.K. (who is an executive producer for the new Zach Galifianakis comedy) said he wasn’t sure when Louie would return:
I don’t know. I just don’t know. I don’t know. I think about it sometimes and I just don’t know. It’s such an autobigraphical thing that I could do a version of ‘Louie’ when he’s 60, if anyone gives a sh-t… By the time I want to, I might say, ‘Hey guys,’ and they’ll be like, ‘Who is this?’”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Louie? Would you like to see more seasons?
