Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

Please bring back Missing. I cannot believe that such a great show has been cancelled just after the first 10 episodes. My family enjoyed it. I loved the action packed drama, it kept my attention and Ashley Judd was fantastic. Please reconsider.
This is a great TV show with excellent actress casting.

My husband and I loved the television show Missing. We are so disappointed that it was not renewed for a second season. The show was an action packed drama that was a thrill to watch. Somebody got it wrong! Missing definitely needs to return!
Sometimes the networks don’t give shows long enough to catch on. Missing began it’s run at a strange time of year. It was a great show and I’m absolutely shocked that it was cancelled. It was top notch quality and I think the network made a big mistake. I was sure popular with my friends.

Sometimes ratings don’t tell the whole story. In the case of Missing this show was full of suspense week after week. Ashley Judd played her part well and we also enjoyed the others in supporting roles. Missing was one of the best new shows on TV and ABC should have given it some more time, but like so many new shows the one’s who make the decisions are only interested in the money that they receive from the companies that pay to advertise. Bring back MISSING !! It was so suspenseful and had so much drama in it. It was like going to the theater each Thursday night !!
I loved the show Missing…. I am sooo dissappointed that it is cancelled. Great action, twists and turns…great scenery. I was indeed surprised when they found Becca’s son, and then I understood the title… Missing… now I want to know why Becca was taken. Please reconsider the show.
Missing is a GREAT show. The show is exciting and the scenery is fabulous.

Reconsider the show and look at who they are against–maybe a new time slot.

Please bring back the show Missing. It was an outstanding show with superb acting. I am extremely disappointed you cancelled it. I had been waiting all summer for its return in the Fall. BRING IT BACK!
