Although its ratings dropped off quite sharply last year, the NCIS: Los Angeles TV show was not cancelled by CBS. Now that the second series in the successful NCIS franchise is back for a 10th season, will it earn the kind of ratings to warrant further installments, or will the Tiffany Network decide to wrap it up with an even 10? Will NCIS: Los Angeles be cancelled or renewed for season 11? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A military police procedural, NCIS: Los Angeles stars Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Barrett Foa, Renée Felice Smith, and Nia Long. The CBS action drama centers on the high-stakes NCIS division charged with apprehending those elusive criminals who threaten the nation’s security. Working undercover with advanced technology, these highly trained agents readily risk their lives to bring down their targets.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/20 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The ninth season of NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS averaged a 0.91 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.90 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS: Los Angeles TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for an 11th season on CBS?
*4/22/19 update: CBS has renewed NCIS: Los Angeles for an 11th season.
yes renew, however stop all the non-sense and trying to making things funny
The ratings are right up there with Law & Order: SVU’s, and that was renewed. This should be also.
We aren’t seeing NCIS LA regularly because of all the Sunday programs that preempt it. Let’s see it regularly please along with the other NCIS and BULL programs. Thank you.
Bring Hettie back & it ranks 10 out 10. Without a 9 out of 10. Awesome show!
I think the ratings took a hit because of Hettie being away…the writing also seemed to struggle without her there. The plots are lost without her role in the mix…
I really hope she’s back for good for season 11.
Love it. My ALLTIME favorite show is NCIS, then NCIS Los Angeles, least favorite is NCIS New Orleans. I HATE comedies and TV is so over loaded that I find myself watching reruns of these shows all the time.
Love NCIS Los Angeles. Love the character interactions and the drama. Please renew it.
stop trying to bring humor in the show this isnt a comedy it is stupid i hate when barret foa trys to be funny its annoying and unrealistic nobody is going to try and be funny on a serious job
Please renewed for season 11
NCIS LA is a very good show it has one flaw and thats because they focus alot about deeks and kensi wedding and relationships which is why NCIS LA has dropped from my 2nd favorite show to my 3rd they need to focus more on the case we dont need to hear planning of a wedding and deeks is relationship with his mother
Can someone pls explain to me why the last episode, which was a great one, got so bad ratings? We are talking about the worst ever for NCIS La. This was a great episode. Sorry, I just don’t get it.
This is my favorite NCIS show ! Love the characters and looking forward to Hetty coming back.
I love all the actors more than the original ncis because the show has much more drama and not that interested in the coroner’s big part of the show even ncis New Orleans beats out ncis.
I still like the show maybe a little more than ncis, that has been getting dull for some time ncis LA has more action, always dangerous missions vs ncis actions it gibbs, van story line. Just my opinion.
I think I agree. NCIS is more of a caracter drama. NCIS LA more of a action drama. Must said, I worry about the ratings. NCIS LA had a good start with better ratings, but after some episodes they again are below the 1.0.
It’s ratings are just as good as Law & Order: SVU’s ratings. It better be renewed.
Nice ratings. Good start.
