As previously reported, ABC had planned on running just four of its six episodes of October Road. Though the series shows evidence of losing steam, ABC has changed their plans.
October Road debuted on March 15th to 13.93 million viewers. The second episode dropped 16% and the third dropped to less than 8.3 million. Despite this decline, the series has been attracting a healthy percentage of the desirable 18-49 demographic.
ABC had planned to air only four of the six episodes of October Road this season. If the series was renewed then the remaining two episodes would air as part of season two. ABC has now decided to air the remaining two episodes this season.
October Road will take a one week break while a double dose of sitcom Notes from the Underbelly debuts on April 12th. Underbelly will then move to Wednesday nights beginning April 18th. The two episodes of October Road will air on April 19th and 26th. No word on what will occupy the timeslot after that.
A final decision on an October Road second season will likely be announced in mid-May at the network upfronts. Stay tuned! 
I love October Road! I was shocked to see the season finale sooo early. I hope this show is brought back in the fall!!! It is also in the perfect time slot and comes after Grey’s Anatomy(another great show!)
I love October Road. I was so shocked to see only 6 episodes. My husband even watches it with me. We’re normally in bed by 9:00 but we stay up just to watch and if I miss an episode I watch it online. Great Show!!!
I love this show. Can’t wait for it to be picked up next season!!!!! Even my husband makes it to the tv every week for this show!
I’m addicted!! I don’t watch that much t.v. but this show put me on the couch every Thursday night!! I NEED to know what happens with Nick, Hannah, and Sam!!! Please…we need another season!!!
Please don’t cancel this show! October Road and Grey’s Anatomy are the two shows I look forward to watching. Everyone I talk to loves October Road.
There are so many good dramas that just disappear. So many of us never have a chance of telling the Nielsen people that we love the show. I am a huge fan of October Road, despite never being able to tell Nielsen. Please continue it.
October Road has taking our hearts by storm. It would be crazy for ABC to cancel the greatest show to hit the small screen. I love the storylines that they have taken in the last episode and hope to get some answers to many unsolve questions. Who is the dad? Will Owen return to avenge what happen? How will the gang handle Big cat? Will Hanna and Nick come together once again? ABC, don’t leave us hanging, please return the show…Everyone has a voice, you really need to have it heard about October Road.

This show hooked us right from the beginning. The relationships and the chemistry of the actors is just wonderful. You feel so involved after the show is over. Bring it back please!!!

PLEASE!!! Do not cancel this show, just put it on earlier so my whole family can watch it. It is a clean family oriented show. Also this is the only series that has caught my interest since Judging Amy.
