Discovery Communication’s Velocity, a cable network for men who love cars, airs its world premiere of the final season of Overhaulin‘, November 4 at 9 PM ET/PT. Overhaulin’, hosted by Chip Foose, will air four final episodes, before series end. While no one is saying the show is cancelled, the press release makes it clear that Overhaulin’ is driving to its final destination — a TV series finale. For fans, there is little difference between an ending and an official cancellation.
The four-episode season nine kicks off with special guests Johnny Depp and Amber Heard (and her 1968 red Ford Mustang) appearing in the season nine premiere, and once more, before the series finale.

Velocity Says Goodbye to Iconic Automotive Series OVERHAULIN’ With Star-Studded Final Episodes
Hollywood Stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Star in the First of Four Final Episodes Beginning Wednesday, November 4 at 9 PM ET/PT Only on Velocity
This November, Velocity is taking OVERHAULIN’, the series that embodies the emotional connection between man and machine, for one last ride. As the series makes its way into the garage one final time, Velocity is celebrating the undeniable legacy of OVERHAULIN’ with four all-new episodes, two of which feature movie stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and retired U.S. Navy SEAL and “Lone Survivor” co-author Marcus Luttrell. Additionally, Velocity is dipping into series history with a special “Say It Ain’t OVERHAULIN’” marathon that counts down fans’ 20 favorite episodes since the franchise began in 2004.
“OVERHAULIN’ has left an indelible mark on television audiences and car culture over the past 11 years,” said Robert Scanlon, General Manager of Velocity and Automotive Content. “Chip Foose and his team have made so many dreams come true, creating unforgettable cars and TV moments. We’re sad to see the series come to a close, but as car lovers we’re excited to appreciate the beauty of Chip’s creations and the powerful legacy of OVERHAULIN’ from afar.”
Since 2004 OVERHAULIN’ has changed the lives of more than 100 car owners by transforming their beloved but rundown rides. Through the years countless family members and friends have surprised their deserving loved ones with the amazing imagination of renowned car designer Chip Foose, the cunning of co-host Chris Jacobs and the hard work of the A-Team that have defined the OVERHAULIN’ franchise.
In the first of the final four episodes, Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp enlists the help of Foose, Jacobs, co-hosts Arianny Celeste and Adrienne Janic, and the A-Team to overhaul his wife’s beloved 1967 Ford Mustang. For more than a decade, Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, has cherished the ’68 Mustang. Since then the car has been stolen twice and fallen into disrepair. With guidance from Heard’s father, Depp turns to Foose and the team to surprise Amber with a Mustang that’s been brought back to life with the classic OVERHAULIN’ touch. New episodes of OVERHAULIN’ world premiere on Velocity Wednesday, November 4 at 9 PM ET/PT.
In addition to the final episodes Velocity is taking a ride down memory lane with “Say It Ain’t OVERHAULIN’”, a two day marathon of viewers’ favorite episodes on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 beginning at 2 PM ET/PT. Audiences will enjoy the top 20 highest-rated episodes of the series that reach back as far as 2004 for an episode featuring a 1952 GMC Truck, as well as deserving builds of a 1964 Impala from season three, a 1970 El Camino from season six, a classic 1957 Corvette and much more.

What do you think? Did you watch Velocity’s show, Overhaulin’? Would you have watched a tenth season?
Our family can not believe that You’re canceling “Overhauling ” ! We’ve watched it from the very beginning and love it . Chip, Chris ,A.J and the A-team work as a family unit with no bickering which is hard to find on any of your other car shows . Please rethink your decision of canceling our beloved ” Overhauling ” !!
I’m sorry to hear that you are not going on. I’ve really enjoyed the series. If you change your minds I’ll be watching.
Wow this feels just losing a loved one. I will miss you guys. You have changed alot of peoples lifes. Each time you brought in the owners I felt excited for them, as if it were I that was being overhauled! Chip you are remarkable hope you keep doing what you do best.
.
Seriously, this is one of the few shows we agree on. Love the show, Chip the A team. Haven’t missed an episode. Please reconsider.
I am not happy to hear Overhaulin may end. A big loss. I have never talked to a car lover that has not watched the show on a regular basis. Why cancel? Can you reconsider? This is the only reason I pay extra for the Velocity Channel.
Have watched the show since it first aired and loved Chip and the gang every step of the way. Overhaulin is the primary reason I tune into Velocity channel in the first place! Hey TV guys, wake up and smell the coffee, keep this show on the air!!!
I think it sucks, that overhaulin is being cancelled. One of my favorite shows on velocity, no need to watch that channel
The best show in your lineup, my wife and I have been watching Overhaulin for years. Wonder why you would cancel this show. Only thing I can say is please don’t.
I’m also a big fan of the Overhauling show and wish it would continue .It is a big surprise to me that we won’t see these auto transformations anymore from the one and only Chip Foose, Chris Jacobs. And the beautiful AJ . As well as the A-team . I hope that this is not for real. My regret is that I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to have Chip redesign and build my corvette. Well maybe one day, wishful thinking. Good luck to all of the show and the Overhaul in family car owners.
The best show you had on your channel no reason to watch this channel anymore.
Chip & the crew you gave everyday people hope in life for a dream come true and such class & detail with every vehicle you have done.
Show will be missed :{{
I think after all these years, us devoted fans of the best show on Velocity deserve some explaination as to why this show is being taken off the air like this.
A.J is back i see, love it. Hope she is back to stay. A great show, no better car show on TV. Chip Foose is the man, love Chris Jacobs. You guys rock. Would love to see you go back to your old ways by stealing the cars , and surprising the marks at the end. Dont ever stop taping.
Hate to see this show canceled. You have so many other shows that are a waste of time. Chip is a class act. I guess thats why it’s being canceled. All that seems to be on now are shows that only know vulger language.
overhaulin is a great show once it has there final I see no reason to watch your channel at all
My husband and I have watched this show for years. We went to Sema last year just to see Chip. He is one of the good guys. We watch this show every night before we go to bed; I hope someone picks up this show. What a shame.
