Powerless didn’t even last a full season on NBC before the network effectively cancelled it in April. However, the show’s unaired episodes have been released on the New Zealand network TVNZ.
Part of the DC Comics universe, Powerless follows Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens), the new Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises that specializes in products that make defenseless bystanders feel a little safer. The cast also includes Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, Ron Funches, and Christina Kirk.
Due to low ratings, NBC pulled Powerless from the schedule in April, leaving four episodes unaired, before officially cancelling it in May. While it’s unclear if NBC will ever air the show’s remaining episodes in the U.S., they are available to watch on TVNZ if you have an account.
What do you think? Have you seen Powerless? Do you think NBC should’ve renewed the comedy for a second season?
Except that it’s not there. At least, not any more.
LOVE this show! how could you pull it.
What about in the U.K. Huh? Please release the whole series 1
Even if NBC never shows them (over the air, on demand, online), the upcoming streaming WB-DC platform will certainly air the show, along with all the other short-lived DC series before it (the original FLASH, BIRDS OF PREY, both HUMAN TARGETs, CONSTANTINE, all those one-season cartoons, and perhaps even the unsold pilots for the Justcie League, Wonder Woman and Aquaman live-action series. How can they not? (And yeah, they should have renewed it. As if you needed to ask the question.)
A very funny send up of the super hero genre. I’ll miss it.
You can’t watch TVNZ from the US. Bummer!!!
