House was a ratings success for FOX for years but the network hasn’t had a hit medical series since then. Will Red Band Society break that trend and be renewed for a second season? Will it be cancelled? Stay tuned.
A dramedy, Red Band Society revolves around the young patients and caretakers of the pediatric ward of the renowned Ocean Park Hospital in Los Angeles. The cast includes Octavia Spencer, Dave Annable, Griffin Gluck, Nolan Sotillo, Charlie Rowe, Astro, Zoe Levin, Ciara Bravo, Mandy Moore, and Rebecca Rittenhouse.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/14 update: FOX will air the remaining episodes but there won’t be a second season because…
Final season averages: 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.81 million total viewers.
Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Red Band Society TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Please please pleaseeeee do not cancel The Red Band Society! this show is absolutely amazing, honestly im 15 years old and these kids are somewhat my age and its really interesting to see what goes on behind the closed doors of a hospital! I know my voice might not do much but reading most of these comments so many people don’t want to cancel! Please reconsider the decision I and everybody else love this show!!!!!!
Please continue the show. I just love it. I havent made it a point to be home just for any show in a long time. I have alarms set on my phone. So that way if im not home I have one hour to get there. Love the show
Personally, I have connected to the show through personal experience. I am 15 with a heart condition that affects my daily life, watching this show helped me continue on this path I was put on and I would be devestated if it was discontinued. It was something appropriate for my age group, that was relevant to my situation and sort of gave people like me a voice which I very much enjoyed. I just hope reconsidering is a possibility.
do not cancel this show!!! I am dying to know what happens next, this show has become what I look forward to. it is so uplifting and I am emotional attached!
My mom and I watch this show together and we both enjoy the show please don’t cancel it!! I like EVERYTHING about the show! It has a really good story line. I like how it shows each characters life in the hospital with each of their disorder. Like I said please don’t cancel RBS I don’t know what I would do if the show was canceled. GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY!
Sorry about my previous comment’s misspellings. I’m on a “smartphone” with a small keypad.
Please continue this show. It is very different from most of the usual garbage on T.V theses days and I’ve watched faithfully since day 1. I was a little upsettoknow that tonight Dec 3, 2014 was the fall season finale with no further information on when it would air again but I’m hoping this show does not get cancelled. The show is unique and even though I am not suffering from any illness like the children in the show or even in the medical field I as well as others can relate or put ourselves in their shoes. I believe… Read more »
DONT CANCEL THE SHOW!!!! I can’t even explain how attached I am to this show. I dream of being part of the red band society. I feel like I’m one of them when I’m watching. I really love it. I relate to the characters and I need this show. Maybe it should be on a different channel but please don’t cancel it… I’m ABSOLUTLY in love with this show. If they cancel it I don’t know what I’ll do. Please… Since cancel red band society.
Ratings can change when people are just busy with their own lives, doesn’t mean others would also have to stop watching the show, think of the two other million people watching.
Dont cancel the show, it has a really nice storyline with awesome characters that can improve !
This show is absolutely amazing. The characters and the plot lines are just so intricit and well thought out that they stick to you and you don’t want to stop watching. Fox shouldn’t cancel the show because they never even gave it a chance. They shouldn’t keep it on fox if it was on another network it would probably do a lot better too
It is an awesome show! It should air again!!
I know my words may not help much, but I still want to take the chance. Red Band Society is a GREAT show. I was excited to see it because well, I was curious as to what it was about. This show helps me to see just how kids with cancer or other serious sicknesses deal with it on a daily business and the relationships between their doctors and nurses (which I must say, I’m learning a lot). I say keep the show for another season so the directors/writers can expand on their ideas. The show has SO much potential… Read more »
Words cannot describe my feelings for this show and how much I love it 🙁 Ever since my friend made me watch the first episode, I was hooked. I usually dont dedicate all of my time into a TV series but after watching it for the first time I couldnt stop. My connection with the characters is pretty much insane considering the fact I got out of bed on Wednesdays just to watch it. It would kill me each week to have to wait a whole 6 days before another episode and now I have absolutely nothing to look forward… Read more »

I love red band society and I think the ratings will be better if the show wasn’t on the fox network.
