What’s This TV Show About?
An ABC crime drama, Reef Break stars Poppy Montgomery, Ray Stevenson, Desmond Chiam, Melissa Bonne, and Tamala Shelton. The series centers on Cat Chambers (Montgomery), a former thief. These days, she works as the fixer for the governor of a beautiful Pacific Island paradise — “The Reef.” Thanks to her checkered past, Cat has a deep understanding of criminals and the crimes they commit. As a real risk-taker, she runs toward adventure, not from it.

Will ABC cancel or renew Reef Break for season two. The live ratings have been very low but, keep in mind that this is a French-American crime drama produced by ABC Studios and ABC Studios International, in partnership with French broadcaster M6. Other low-rated series have been saved from cancellation in the US, because they’re profitable overseas. That’s no guarantee of a renewal, but sometimes networks do have a higher tolerance for lower ratings, if they’re making some money on a show in other ways (see Ransom and Dynasty for recent examples). I find Reef Break an excellent temporary escape from the insane stresses of life.
Low key and relaxed, like the tropical setting it’s filmed in, along with the fun

I really enjoy this show. I’ve always liked Poppy Montgomery and I can see the fun she’s having with this role… and it communicates very well. Love the Cat and mouse games. And Ray Stevenson is good in his role and, forgive a little bit of drooling, has a wonderfully appealing silver fox charisma. (fanning myself) I’m looking forward to a second season and hope I won’t be disappointed.
Love the show! After seeing the Endgame episode really want to see what will be next on the show! Need a second season!
