Does Cat Chambers always land on her feet the first season of the Reef Break TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Reef Break is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Reef Break season one episodes here. *Status update below.
An ABC crime drama, Reef Break stars Poppy Montgomery, Ray Stevenson, Desmond Chiam, Melissa Bonne, and Tamala Shelton. The series centers on Cat Chambers (Montgomery), a former thief. These days, she works as the fixer for the governor of a beautiful Pacific Island paradise — “The Reef.” Thanks to her checkered past, Cat has a deep understanding of criminals and the crimes they commit. As a real risk-taker, she runs toward adventure, not from it.

My husband and I love Reef Break. It’s refreshing and we think Poppy Montgomery is doing a great job with her character. We do NOT want to see it cancelled.
I think the reef break needs a cast change in order to survive. The actor that plays Cat is not making the character interesting enough to watch. Some of the other actors seem nominal with their characters as well. Other than that it has potential. I believe it could become another hawaii five O if the right cast were to be put into place.
The show IS Poppy Montgomery. Take her away might as well cancel show. It would become the usual copycat shows I will turn off .

I love Poppy Montgomery. Her personality radiates in every series she is in. I look forward to Reef Break every week. It is a crime show with a lot of humor mixed in.
I have told many about it and they all enjoy it as much as I do.
If it is cancelled ABC shows will be on my do not watch list
This show has grown on me over time. As the episodes progress I’m starting to see that perhaps Cat’s flippant attitude is hiding some significant emotional pain. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the season.
This series is PAINFUL to watch.. PM’s acting (& as a surfer!) is truly cringe-worthy.. However, the actual surfer is VERY GOOD.. I vote CANCEL PLEASE!
Totally agree. She is overacting the part and spoils the show. The rest of the cast is great and the plot isn’t bad. They should have cast someone else in the part.
PoppyMontgomery is a surfer and that just may be he surfing. She rocks on this show and makes it so watchable
Poppy actually does do her own surfing, skate boarding, jet skiing, etc. on Reef Break. She created this tv show so she could portray a character unlike her true self, at least that’s what I’ve read in several articles on this show and Poppy.
Poppy Montgomery is an executive producer of the show. It is her show. As Poppy Montgomery goes so goes Reef Break.
It’s easy to enjoy Poppy Montgomery as the character she plays. She is an original heroine. Her character has depth. She is capable of many types of relationships. I love her humor and independence and vulnerability.
Poppy Montgomery created Reef Break, she stated for her alter ego, and does her own surfing, skate boarding, and other stunts from what I’ve read in different articles about this show. PM is actually from Australia where she learned surfing and all the water sports she actually does herself in the show, and this is where the show is filmed. And her character, Cat Chambers is what keeps bringing me back to watch along with the other main characters.
love this show. very entertaining. it should definitely be renewed. still angry that Whiskey Cavalier was cancelled. wouldn’t have so bad if they hadn’t left us with a cliffhanger
Made me mad when Whiskey Cavalier was cancelled also!! I hope ABC renews Reef Break too! I really like the humor with the drama.
