Several cast and crew members from Roseanne have reacted to the ABC series cancellation, but what about John Goodman? Deadline reports the star has made a comment regarding the TV show’s abrupt end.
As reported earlier, ABC quickly axed Roseanne after star Roseanne Barr posted offensive statements on Twitter. The cast also includes Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman, Alicia Goranson, Emma Kenny, and Sarah Chalke.
When asked by ET News about Roseanne‘s cancellation, Goodman said he’d “rather say nothing than to cause more trouble.” Yesterday, Barr posted a tweet about Goodman, saying ABC will never have a better actor:

Yes I WOULD watch any show with/about the “Connor family”. I agree Roseanne’s comments were not acceptable in any way shape or form. I do not agree that all the other cast members should suffer from one persons actions,that has never made sense to me in any situation in life where “one bad apple” so to speak ruins it for everyone! In a perfect world I wish she could have been forgiven after profusely apologizing for her inappropriate (to say the least)comments,and the show could have continued,alas that was not to be. I want the remaining cast back – go DAN, JACKIE, DARLENE, BECKY, DJ, and all the kids…especially MARK – he is GREAT !! They can hold the show – I HATE to lose Roseanne – very bad decision. But I would watch without her.

I would watch John Goodman anytime!!! He is a phenomenal actor! If he had continued the show I would still watch, he was the reason I was watching in the first place.

I would watch only if ALL were in it. It wouldn’t be the same chemistry without Roseanne. What she said was wrong…….but I didn’t watch her for her thoughts and opinions in real life. Just to watch her act and be funny……which she did very well. Just like I don’t care about the opion of Scarlett Johansson, Ashley Judd, Madonna, John Legend, and Robert DiNero. I watched all episodes and will watch the show if they manage to bring it back
Kill Roseanne off.
Just send Roseanne to a mental health clinic on the show…similar to what they did to Hotchner on Criminal Minds when the producers canned him from the show…Criminal Minds continued on well without him. Sure Roseanne won’t be the same without her, but the show could still go on.
