Animation producers (and spouses) Allison Abbate and Tony Cervone recently stopped by the Radio Rashy podcast to talk with animation writer/producer Paul Dini and his wife, actress/magician Misty Lee.
A lot of the discussion revolved around Abbate’s work on Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie feature film but Cervone, who’s a supervising producer on Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, mentioned the Cartoon Network series.
Cervone said, “There are 11 shows left that will finish the series off at 52 episodes. I’m not sure when they’re coming back. I never know when they’re coming back. If I had to guess, probably in the summer because it usually airs in the summer. But I can’t wait for these last 11 to get out for people to see them because they’re crazy.”
At 2011’s ComicCon, Cervone and fellow supervising producer Mitch Watson teased that events in the pilot episode would pay off in the 52nd episode. We now know that will be the series finale.
One of the most recent episodes, which aired last fall, featured appearances by classic Hanna-Barbera characters Blue Falcon, Dynomutt, Race Bannon, Doctor Benton Quest (Jonny’s scientist dad), and evil Doctor Zin. It turns out that Doctor Quest created the Dog Wonder!
Though Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated won’t be returning for a third season, it’s a safe bet that Scooby and the gang will return soon.

This a nightmare, i thought it was kinda rude how on the last episode they left u hanging there i was so happy to see the next season but when i found out today that there wasn’t going to be a next season 3 i died in my bed just layed on my bed stering at the light the at my room :'[

Im very sad and upset to hear there is not a season 3 coming out, i really wish you would make it. there was no real ending and you left the last episode of season 2 in a total aw of another huge mystery to come. I was very disappointed to not find out what happens to the gang next..

I’ve been watching scooby all my life I grew up with scooby doo. Come on be more considerate, many people have grown up with this show. I would hate to all of a sudden scooby doo mystery inc end. Scooby mystery inc at least deserves 2 to 3 more seasons. I liked the ending very much but it left me with curiosity that they have to solve more mysteries. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD A COUPLE MORE SEASONS! SCOOBY DOO MYSTERY INC. WAS THE BEST VERSION OF SCOOBY DOO YET! ALL OF US SCOOBY FANS ARE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THIS VERSION AND WE’RE REALLY HOPING THAT WE FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GANG. THE LAST EPISODE DID GIVE US CLUES TO WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED BUT IT’S NOT THE SAME! SO PLEASEEEE TAKE IN SOME CONSIDERATION ON MAKING MORE MYSTERIES HAPPEN!
This is the best scooby-doo series yet, I love the original, but the depth and story line in mystery inc is amazing. You guys can’t stop, plz. This show makes this grown man feel like an innocent child again. Take our requests into consideration.

I have been watching Scooby Doo since I was little and still love it! The Scooby zoo mystery inc is great and I really hope that you make more seasons! Its the best ever! I watch them all again. On Netflix and it really diserves more seasons!!! Thank you
I would like if you made another season 3 and mabey a 4th season too. But with different mysteries you know. if you wt my help with some ideas with these episodes so thanks for reading
I’m really really sad that “Scooby Doo! Mystery incorporated” isn’t making series three.
I grew up watching the original Scooby-Doo and all that followed. Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated is among the best and best written ever. Both adults and children love it. To leave it after only 2 seasons not only leaves money on the table for you, but leaves Scooby-Doo fans without their beloved show. I strongly encourage you to reconsider and pick up the show where it left off at episode 52. A show this good deserves 5 seasons minimum. Don’t let the fans down. Thank you.

Please continue the series! It was incredible and by far one of the most enticing series, children’s or adult’s.
You guys have to make another season. I don’t understand why would you end a great show like scooby doo mystery incorporated? End the show with an actual ending even if its an open ended one. My kids and i love the show and want to see more. So I do hope you guys reconsider doing one last final season. Personally i would prefer more.
