Last season, the Scorpion TV show saw a significant tumble in the ratings but CBS renewed the series anyway. Now, the network is moving the show to a later timeslot (when fewer people are watching television). Could Scorpion be cancelled or, is it sure to be renewed for a third season so there will be enough episodes for syndication? Stay tuned.
Based on real-life events, Scorpion revolves around computer expert Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. They’re this country’s last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats. The quirky masterminds have found the perfect job: a place where they can apply their exceptional brainpower to solve the nation’s crises, while also helping each other learn how to fit in. The series also stars Robert Patrick, Katharine McPhee, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Riley B. Smith.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Each and every actor on Scorpion, from Cabe to Ralph and everyone in between, is totally believable. No matter how complicated the plot, they sell it to us beautifully. Not only do we sit through the two hours of mindless sitcoms to get to Scorpion every Monday night, sometimes we enjoy watching the same show again on CBS All Access. We watch only 4 network TV shows each week (the others are Elementary, Criminal Minds, & Madame Secretary), and while the others occasionally disappoint, so far Scorpion never has.

Love this show. Hope it returns next season. Wish CBS would air it at 8 pm and let the sitcoms come later. A lot of us go to bed about the time Scorpion comes on and we have to wait and watch it on demand.

I love this show. I think it does go over the top, a bit, with all of the wrinkles they encounter but I guess there’s a dramatic appeal there. I think the characters are awesome.
Fun show with creative scripts, great cast, unlikely chemistry, and unbeatable themes.
