Scandal will return to ABC at mid-season, so fans have plenty of time to wait for the next chapter of Olivia Pope’s life. The wait will be worth it though, according to the latest comments by the man in charge at ABC.
ABC President Channing Dungey spoke about the upcoming season and the future of the series at the TCA’s this week. He has already seen the script for episode one of season six, and he said it will be a “return to form” for the Shonda Rhimes drama.
According to Entertainment Weekly, he also revealed that there are no plans right now to end the series at the end of the upcoming season. He said the following:
“It was the fifth season this year. Long-running shows, there’s always a little bit of ebb and flow. We have read the first script for the new season and it’s fantastic. It feels very much like a return to form.”

Love the show and the cast ! Hope they are renewed for many seasons !
Does return to form mean she is going to get back to fixing people and they are letting B613 and all the other nonsense go? That would be nice. The fixing is the gimick that hooked me onto the show. Then it went down a strange and farfetched path that almost lost my attention.
