After a disastrous premiere, CBS has dumped Secret Talents of the Stars. Apparently this show didn’t have any talent for attracting viewers.
CBS ordered the reality show and hurried it into production during the recent Writers Strike. With the strike now over and original episodes of many regular series back on the air, the network has little patience for an under-performing reality series.
Secret Talents attracted a dismal 4.6 million viewers and a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the worst performance since CBS’ coverage of Super Tuesday. As a result, Secret Talents has been dumped. The network has long had a problem successfully filling the timeslot which has been occupied by cancelled series like Jericho, 3 lbs., and Smith.

For the next two Tuesdays, the 10pm timeslot will be filled by episodes of 48 Hours Mystery. After that, Shark will take over. Shark had previously been scheduled for 9pm but CBS has opted to shift it to 10pm and air repeats of The Unit as a lead-in (possibly a good sign for Unit’s renewal).
Singer Mya, and Star Trek’s George Takei were eliminated in the first episode while country singer Clint Black and Olympic figure skater Sasha Cohen were voted through to the semi-finals. Could Cohen or Black have won the competition? The world will never know. Stay tuned!

And you wonder why network TV goes downhill every passing season? Even the scripted Writers Guild of America-helmed shows are the equivalent of rotting gopher carcasses. But then again, it seems to be all about drinking, fighting, partying, and bumming around nowadays. May the Good Lord have mercy on our souls.
reality shows suck ! bring back jericho !!!! cant your writers think of anything new . there was a show kinda of like this back in the 80s called circus of the stars which showed their hidden talents . get some new material , reality is all thats on tv now , we want something else . i hate watching tv anymore because its all crap !!! all your reality shows are staged sit up confrontations and all for viewers who have no brains to figure that out .
