Earlier this season, CBS renewed newbie shows Scorpion, Madam Secretary, and NCIS: New Orleans for another season each. The network’s other new drama, Stalker, was glaringly missing from that list of early renewals. Is it doomed? Will Stalker be renewed for a second season or will it be cancelled instead?
A cop thriller, Stalker follows the work of the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit, a team that investigates incidents of stalking. The TV show stars Dylan McDermott, Maggie Q, Victor Rasuk, and Mariana Klaveno.
The series debuted in October to a 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.07 million viewers. It wasn’t exactly an impressive start for the new series and the ratings dropped 10-14% in week two. That wasn’t too bad of a decline and CBS ended up giving Stalker some time (a “full season” order) to prove itself.
Unfortunately, the ratings have been dwindling downward for most of the season. Last week’s episode hit a new low with a 1.2 rating in the demo and 6.74 million viewers. CBS has no shortage of successful crime/legal series and numbers like those are too low for CBS. The network could bring it back for a second season but that seems highly unlikely.
Last week’s installment was Stalker’s 17th episode and CBS supposedly only ordered 20 of them for the season. It’s unclear if or when the remaining trio of episodes will be shown. Saturday night airings seem like a natural move at this point.
New series CSI: Cyber — starring recent Oscar-winner Patricia Arquette — takes over the Wednesdays at 10pm timeslot next week. It’s a natural fit for lead-in Criminal Minds since both revolve around FBI units.

I really hope CBS will renew this show and move it to a different time slot. Kind of hard for this to win out against Chicago PD and Nashville. Put it in the Sunday night slot vacated by The Mentalist. Beef up the Sunday night lineup.
Of course they’ll cancel this because I finally found another show I liked besides TWD. Give it a chance guys….. DON’T CANCEL IT!!
I really like this show. The characters are great and I love following their story. I look forward to seeing it the next week. I hope it comes back…it was a great show following Criminal Minds. My Wednesday’s aren’t the same without it.
If they cancel and continue with the sequels of csi, ncis i will be movi g more to the other networks, FX, USA, A&E etc, and has not survivor and the great race out lived their usefulness

This is a great show! It should not be canceled. It needs another chance . Don’t leave us hanging on the ending. I looked forward to watching this show very much.
I think CBS should give this show Stalker another chance! I can really think of some other shows that they have renewed that should have been canceled! This is a very good show! It should be given another season at least!
CBS did little to advertise Stalker. Wed nights are fill of great shows where as Tues. and Thurs leave little to be desired. This was a great show great actors and story lines. finally something different then the usual crime shows on TV. PLEASE DON’T CANCEL GIVE IT A CHANCE. i HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE COMMENTS OF OTHER PEOPLE AND IT IS WELL LIKED BY THOSE THAT COULD FIND IT.

Loved the stalker – took a while to get into it but when I did, couldn’t wait to see it the next week and the next! At least show the last few episodes. I don’t like some of the new shows you’ve put out there for this Spring – ugh! Some of them don’t even sound good…
Stalker is very good show and should be renewed. I watch every show and then Ondemand. You don’t give a show a chance. I love Dylan and Maggie together. I want to see what happens next. Saturday is a good dsy for the show, i never watch CBS on Saturday.

This has been a new compeling show. It is fresh and not a general extension of police shows. Renew it for another season an show remaining trio soon. Don’t leave us habging if you aren’t going to renew. Thanks
