Good news for Star fans! Co-creator Lee Daniels just announced the cancelled TV show will return for a feature-length movie.
The music drama follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy.
As reported earlier, FOX cancelled Star after three seasons this spring. Now, while the show will not be returning for a fourth season, co-creator Lee Daniels says the series will have a TV movie to wrap the story up.

I too did the same, once I started watching STAR I forgot all about Empire I even had my coworkers watching STAR they really need to bring it back
I’m so sad that the show has been cancelled, I’ve watched every episode and recently watched the 3 seasons again. I really need an ending, the audience needs to know what happened next. I would prefer for Fox to renew but if a movie can give us a good ending I’ll be looking forward. Hope it’s soon.
I am definitely going to be watching the movie ! I’m a huge fan of Star. Love all the songs and music. But I don’t think the season could be wrapped up into a movie. There’s so much going on with the girls and miss C !

I still think fans of the show deserve a explanation , Low ratings were not the reason , Shows rated much lower on FOX were renewed. The same “thin reason ” can be applied to Empire which is being forced to a end . They also had decent ratings , in fact one of the best on Fox . I thought the show was good. I didn’t care for some aspects of it but it did keep my attention. Hate to see it go. They should at least have one last season like Empire. Hope things change.
Yes I was a huge fan of the show. I didn’t like the ending. Esp the way they did the grandmother. She didn’t deserve that. She shouldn’t have gotten raped in the first place. That was just wrong on so many levels. Then they shot her because she killed her attacker. That was crazy. The rest of the seasons were entertaining esp the original songs and sets that they did. Whilst I am glad we are getting an ending, I am still annoyed that it was cancelled and still no real explanation as Lee Daniel’s himself said it would take too long. Do us fans not deserve to know the full reasons as to why no one would pick it up. To me it should have been a shoe in for someone to take it on. It talked about things alot of other shows wouldn’t even dream of touching. But I hope they end it properly and on a high.
