Good news for Star fans! Co-creator Lee Daniels just announced the cancelled TV show will return for a feature-length movie.
The music drama follows the story of three talented young female singers and their rise to fame. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady, Amiyah Scott, Quincy Brown, Miss Lawrence, Luke James, Lance Gross, Luke James, Matthew Noszka, and William Levy.
As reported earlier, FOX cancelled Star after three seasons this spring. Now, while the show will not be returning for a fourth season, co-creator Lee Daniels says the series will have a TV movie to wrap the story up.

I watched this show in 2016 and rewatched twice since then on Hulu and Disney Plus. It was devastating when it finished the way it did absolutely no closure whatsoever. Aired in 2016 with some many hard stories that still relate to the day to day now. I started this show when it first came out for some reason I didn’t finish it but I’m literally sitting here now at the end of season 3 (cause I Binge watched it this week lol) and I looked up info about a continuation all these years later!!!! Definitely! Everything about the show was well written and performed. So sad that the series is over because Star is a show I could watch forever!

I cant wait. Please make the movie. Too many lose ends. A great story to continue and could go in so many directions. I watched so many hours expecting an ending. I never would have started it if I would have known it was going to be canceled before the finished story ending.
