The munchers are back, so it’s now or never. Watch the official trailer for The Strain  TV show’s third season, premiering on FX, Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 10:00pm ET/PT.

The Strain  TV series cast includes: Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Natalie Brown, Miguel Gomez, Max Charles, Ruta Gedmintas, Rupert Penry-Jones, Samantha Mathis, and Joaquín Cosío.

A high-concept thriller, The Strain  TV series follows Doctor Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City, as he confronts not a Zombie Apocalypse, but a Vampire one.

FX says, as the viral outbreak spreads, Eph and a company of everyday New Yorkers, “…wage war for the fate of humanity itself.” Watch “Fear,” the official trailer for The Strain, season three.

As season three begins, New York City is a battleground. Written off by the federal government, the people of New York City must fight for survival on their own. The question is who will win? Humans or strigoi? Our heroes win victories, but are not winning the war. Beset by personal conflicts – betrayal, disappointment, paranoia – our group is splintering… Meanwhile, the Master is close to executing an irreversible transformation of the world. Is there still hope to save the city and humanity?

The Strain was created by created by EP and writer Guillermo del Toro (Trollhunters) and EP and writer Chuck Hogan and is based on their book trilogy of the same name. Lost‘s Carlton Cuse is showrunner and an executive producer, director, and writer and writer on the series.
