It looks like someone at The CW is a fan of Tales from the Darkside. The network is said to be looking at doing a new version of the 1980s horror anthology series.
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will execcutive produce the project with Mitch Galin, Heather Kadin and Jerry Golod. Stephen King’s son, Joe Hill, is the writer.
The CW execs are considering the new Tales from the Darkside for a Summer 2014 run. It would be a half-hour program, just like the original which ran in syndication from 1984 until 1988.
What do you think? Do you think a horror anthology could work today? On the CW?
I was very excited to hear CW was reviving this show……….we need scary creepy shows like this………..they are a guilty pleasure 🙂 CW you have some of my fav shows…the originals……supernatural & soon to be tales form the darkside…….keep it up CW……..I am soooo tired of reality shows LOL…..
I will follow I like and love this series from the 80’s
Great news but the series and movie were titled “Tales From The Darkside”. 🙂
You’re right. Thanks!
Geez, this was such a fun show in it`s time, with all the new technologies today, it could be amazing…I`m in…
If Joe Hill is involved in the project, I’m there. He’s a remarkable writer and I am a huge fan. I’ve got high hopes for this. If anyone can make it work, Joe Hill can!
