From TLC:
(Los Angeles, CA) – TLC’s new series “TATTOO GIRLS” will premiere the first episode for free on TLCgo on Saturday, December 24th. The linear premiere for the six-episode series will air on Tuesday, January 24th at 10/9c.
TATTOO GIRLS is set against the backdrop of Ink Ink, a tattoo shop like no other – it is owned and operated by young entrepreneur Kelsey and employs an all-female lineup of tattoo artists. Based in Springfield, Missouri, Kelsey set out to make her shop feel different from the usual masculine, sometimes intimidating traditional ones. She employs her longtime friends Meagan and Nikki who are also tattoo artists and Brittany who does all the piercings. The series will explore the friendships and working relationships between all of them as they navigate everyday life.
The ladies of Ink Ink include:
Kelsey – Kelsey is not only the owner, but an artist as well. She has always run her shop with the promise that every artist starts as an apprentice and is promoted through the teachings of the women of Ink Ink. Drama ensues between everyone when Kelsey hires new hot shot tattoo artist Liz, breaking the tradition of the usual indoctrination of artists.
Nikki – Nikki struggles to find the balance of single motherhood, dating and being the strong artist Kelsey needs at Ink Ink. She is frustrated by newcomer Liz and acts out in protest.
Meagan – Meagan is the youngest on the team and has worked hard to earn the position as “lead artist” but starts realizing that her title doesn’t mean much. She is constantly seduced by offers from larger, more prominent shops. With Liz’s arrival, Megan gives serious consideration to leaving Ink Ink.
Brittany – Brittany does all of the piercings at the shop and is also the shop manager. She finds her job sometimes impossible as each set of individual problems from these women mix together into dramatic conflict.
Liz – In an effort to lighten the workload, Kelsey hired Liz who hails from Dallas, Texas. Liz doesn’t play by the same rules as the ladies and with her strong personality and artistic skills, turmoil within the shop ensues.
TATTOO GIRLS is produced by Big Fish Entertainment, LLC for TLC.”

Hope TCL renews Tattoo Girls. It is unique and the people, both cast and customers, are interesting. I want to know what happens next.
I like the show. Never thought I would as I do not like tattoos but this is gives you a very different take on people and their likes and dislikes. refreshingly different. I feel sorry for Kelsey as she has a very difficult team to manage
