It’s time to say goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw again. The Carrie Diaries has been cancelled by The CW after two seasons and 26 episodes.
The Carrie Diaries follows the experiences of young Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) as she grows into the New York writer we know from Sex and the City. Others in the cast include Lindsey Gort, Austin Butler, Katie Findlay, Brendan Dooling, Ellen Wong, Freema Agyeman, Stefania Owen, Matt Letscher, and Chloe Bridges.
The series debuted early last year to a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.61 million viewers. The ratings went up and down over the course of the season and the show could have easily been cancelled but The CW execs decided to stick with it.
Unfortunately, the second season premiere drew just half of the viewership of the series debut some 10 months earlier. Year-to-year, Carrie Diaries dropped nearly 30% in the ratings. While expectations on Friday nights are lower, it seems viewership was just too low to justify the network ordering a third season.
The season (now series) finale aired on January 31st.

Im so upset that there isn’t a season three or even a movie to sum things up. The season 2 finale really just left us crushed knowing that Carrie and Sebastian are supposed to be together. Im so sad. Im very anxious to know what happens next. I hope netflix, or abc family picks it up. This show is great. I absolutely love it. It shows what teenage girls/boys have to go thru in this world. Please bring it back.
What the heck!’ I am so angry and sad right now. I love the carrie diaries so much! Atleast make more for Netflix or something. I know so many people that will be very upset. I’ve re watched the carrie diaries a couple times too. This is ridiculous. There needs to be more. It was left on a cliff hanger in my opinion.

NetFlix please pick up season three. The show is popular through video streaming. It a great show to watch.
Um having a third season is not a question. We need it.
Umm…I think I’ll just go cry myself to sleep now!! I was literally addicted to this show. I watched it every single day and now it’s gone. This is very upsetting!! Even my cat loved sitting with me every morning to watch how awesome carrie’s life was. Like Maggie just got engaged for crying out loud!!!! And we don’t even get to see if she gonna be able to have the baby she’s always wanted?!?! We don’t get to see where carries life goes with her and Sam and Sebastian?!?! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE , ME AND MY FRIEND BELLA ADORED THIS TV SHOW.. AND STILL DO!!! THIS CAN NOT HAPPEN, WE NEED A THIRD SEASON. THERE ARE SO MANY QUESTIONS THAT WERE LEFT UNANSWERED.. Just finished season two on Netflix and I love it! I’m sad they canceled the show, they should at least make more seasons for Netflix
it cant just end like this i will cry!!! lol i know i might be over reacting but its to much off a cliff hangger carrie and sebastian !!!? they cant just not get back together there needs to be a 3 season come one 🙁 this is heart brakeing i might cry !!
I love this show soooo much I’m so sad to see it go away it really inspired me to follow my dreams and let’s me understand things I didn’t know about life it is a great show and I’m sad to see it go away really I want it to come back
Don’t get to watch TV as much but I came across this show on Netflix and I was hooked. It’s a damn good show. I’m disappointed it got canceled. Hope a season 2 is made. TV ratings give shows a bad rap. Like “Firefly”, a show cut too short. At least have it on Netflix or DVDs.

I LOVE The Carrie Diaries!! I was rewatching all the episodes I had of the carrie diaries and after watching the 2nd episode, I looked up “The Carrie Diaries season three” and I found out that they cancelled it! Just finished Watching season 2, And Im so upset to hear there will be no 3rd season. Real bummer.
There better be a season 3, it’s my absolute favorite show and ever sense I lost power I haven’t been able to watch it. Now I have Netflix and just watched all of season 2… please have a season 3.
