In January, after HBO announced that Treme wouldn’t be returning in the spring, it was suspected that the David Simon series would likely return in the fall.
Though there’s been no official announcement yet, the Times-Picayunne reports that HBO is currently eyeing a Sepetember 23rd or 30th return for Treme. It will likely be paired with Boardwalk Empire, the Steve Buscemi series. The first two seasons of Boardwalk have kicked off in September 2010 and 2011. Treme had previously kicked off in April.
HBO ordered 10 episodes for the third season of Treme and they were produced between November 2011 and May 2012.
What do you think? Will you been waiting for Treme to return? Why do you think that the show doesn’t get better ratings?
This is a awesome show! I look forward to each and every episode. It’s very informative and educational in many aspects of what the people were experiencing. DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!
TREME… is a great series, I’ve been waiting for it come back … Come on HBO!!!
I have seen all of the shows so far, but wasn’t especially waiting for next season. The ratings can probably be tied to the shortage of leading actors and the lack of a cohesive storyline.
It seems to me that they are trying to cover too many aspects of Katrina with too few resources, much like the real Katrina response.
Can’t say as I’ve been waiting for it to return; I’ve never even heard of it.
