Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

Don’t you all listen to me they will be canceling twisted next month they are concern and worry about the future season with the abc family twisted series its a bussiness abc family doesn’t care about Netflix or DVR they care about raitings and people watching it on live such as televison and that’s it if te raitings are worse then they will canceled it for good

Please bring it back I love this show so much I can’t bare to see it leave and do need more answers it is my favorite show and I will die if you cancell it actually kill but please bring it back and I’m only 10 I’m so young please I love this show more than I love my guts please abc family

Abc Family. You absolutely cannot treat your fan base this way. You ran a few episodes of “Jane By Design” and canceled it. Now you are doing the same thing with “Twisted”. These are good shows. You took away the ability for the majority of people to watch your shows when you changed your abc family app, thus losing thousands upon thousands of viewers. PPL has a fanbase and people are still watching PPL because they still love that show they will keep on renewing it they just got sixth and Seventh season I watch that show because I loved and if you don’t like then don’t to brother watching it
Renewed !! What’s the point of making new shows and not finishing them ? Its getting ridiculous half the shows I watched left it with one season and it’s jot fair to us that are watching. The lying game should be brought back too ! It is so stupid to not finish the shows you guys have started. * frustrated *

I love this show. I started watching recently on Netflix last week and have been binge watching ever since. I wish I would have known about it sooner but better late then never. I think the story line was well put together and every episode left me wanting more. I really think it would be a shame to cancel this tv series. There is so many places the writers can go from where the show left off. If twisted is cancelled I will probably stop watching new shows because I don’t want to get into a show that I can’t finish.
This is how I feel. I look and Look and finally find a show worth watching and then it’s cancelled… I don’t know who the real judge of these shows are. I consider myself an expert… This show is quality and with Denise Richards….
I am very sure abc family will be canceling twisted abc family doesn’t care about Netflix DVR and others stuff they only care about Their 18 to 49 Demos and the US and Millon of viewers watching it if the raitings drop on the million of viewers side their are chances of a cancellation to a show and the demos will get 0.2 and a cancellation Twisted will not play out on Monday Through Friday Schedule the weekends or the mid seasons Schedule are the only good chances for twisted beening renewed with a second season

It’s absolutely NOT fair to all the people who are actually watching and obsessing over this show! we want some answers, they can’t just leave us hanging on the finale and cancel the series!!! So the decision is made up on the number of people who are not watching but the people who are don’t freaking matter!! SOO STUPID!! either stop ending shows in the middle or just stop making shows, because there are people out there who are watching!!
