Body of Proof: Last Episode of Cancelled Series Gives Closure

body of proof last episodeThough Body of Proof was cancelled a couple weeks ago, there is some good news for fans of the ABC series. The series finale, which airs tonight at 10pm, will offer some closure to the show.

Speaking to TV Guide, star Dana Delany shared, “It’s a very satisfying ending… We do solve the mystery of the death of Megan’s father and she finally comes to terms with her feelings for Tommy Sullivan (Mark Valley). And I really, really liked it a lot… I think that the viewers are going to be happy.”

Delany also noted that the third season ends so well that the cast and crew weren’t sure what a fourth year would have held.

The third season finale was finished before ABC officially cancelled the show but the producers certainly knew that Body of Proof could be be canned due to low ratings. Delany added, “I think that everyone in television now knows you need to end your season, because you never know the future of a show, unless you’re Mad Men.

What do you think? Do you think Body of Proof should have been renewed? What could have happened in season four?

Why are they cancelling all the good shows, meanwhile all the reality crap they have are not being cancelled instead they are bringing more of them. This should have never been cancelled.

Loved the show! so sorry it was cancelled. ABC shuffles shows around so much that it’s hard to find favorites. Am so sick of reality shows! Bachelor/Bachelorette crap instead of a good show like this means less tv. Hope TNT takes a look at this show as well.

I loved the show. They could have written another season. There I’d a mystery in every deaf body.

No the series should not have been cancelled . It was very entertaining . It is a lot better than the stupid reality shows (that aren’t really) that have taken over the stations.

this show is great.. the reason for the low ratings is probably b/c all the broadcasters are doing 1/3 or 1/2 seasons and with dancing with the stars and bachelor(ette) cutting in all the time, it’s hard to keep track if the show is still on. think about that abc; people like predictability. you don’t know if you have tv gold, if it was in your hand

So over watching tv shows just to find out they are cancelled!! Body of Proof is such a good show it should not be cancelled!!! Instead they keep all the stupid shows that should never be renewed on the station. Television definitely is not good like it use to be and that is sad.

The changes they made this season ruined the show for us. Last season Body of Proof was one of our favorite shows but it was laughable this season. How stupid do they think we are? Stick to what worked. Glad it’s gone.

It seems the networks cannot stand to have good shows on TV.
Will miss this, just like I miss Harry’s Law.

It’s amazing to me how “they” cancel the good shows (ie Body of Proof, Harry’s Law) and leave the garbage behind. I think the networks have a responsibility to raise the intellectual level of their offerings as well as provide entertainment. How many seasons do we really need the likes of Honey BooBoo and Wipeout?????? There’s a reason why thinking/educated members of society shy away from network TV viewing.

No, the series should not have been cancelled, it should at least become a summer series, I am so sick and tire of these reality ( fake) shows that requires no intellectual stimulus, and only shows the lowest of the human spirit. I hope another station like TNT or Lifetime picks the series. Thumbs down to ABC.

I love this show and all the cast. Sorry it is cancelled.
They did the same with Harry’s LAw.
