Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:
Cedar Cove was the first series launched on Hallmark Channel, and we are incredibly proud of the exquisitely beautiful three season arc it delivered. It was an honor to bring to life the kindness, consideration and courage of this story that Debbie Macomber envisioned. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the extraordinary cast, writers, artists and designers — especially Andie MacDowell, executive producer and show runner Sue Tenney, and of course, Debbie Macomber. It is a privilege to continue a creative working relationship with the incredible talents associated with this series — both in front of and behind the camera – for upcoming projects on Hallmark Channel USA and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The last episode of Cedar Cove aired on September 26th and ended with lots of unanswered questions.
What do you think? Do you like the Cedar Cove TV show? Do you think that it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you like to see the characters return someday?
Bring cedar cove back to finish up unanswered questions!
Should have a season 4t.
It definitely should have been renewed!!! And the way they just ended Season 3 SUCKED!!!! Not happy. We loved that series!!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series only to be left hanging and disappointed at the end of season 3! What was Hallmark thinking? Shame! Almost makes me not want to watch any other Hallmark productions! Prime example I loved Chesapeake Shores AND it had an ending! Sad as I was but it was a satisfying ending! SMH Hallmark!!!
What are you thinking Hallmark channel? You can’t let all these viewers who invested their time be left hanging like this‼️ Not professional!! Will not watch anything on this channel until you do the right thing
What a dud!! How can you’s let it end like that! Not happyI wish you’s would reconsider doing a fourth season… that would make me happy and alot of others
Hallmark does this crap all the time that is why no one invest in shows like this anymore . They can’t even finish it.
You can’t leave us hanging like that!!!
No real ending so sad I feel cheated please change your mind make a 4 th season give us the ending
I LOVE THIS SHOW! I can’t believe their will not be a season 4. This was one of my all time favorites
I would’ve like to see the movie wrap up the story lines. Too many unanswered questions. At least have season 4 be the final season.
My husband and I were very disappointed that the end of Season 3 did not resolve things for Olivia/Jack/Paul. If Hallmark knew it was going to cancel the series, it should have had a wrap-up at least of the love-triangle situation. We actually drove from North Seattle to Deep Cove and Fort Langley in Canada last week to see these set locations! We were hit with nostalgia for this series that we just happened to recently discover at our local library… Thank you Debbie Macomber, Hallmark and Andie McDowell (et al) for this wonderful show! We will miss it!
Yes you need to resume cedar cove season 4
If they were going to cancel the show, they should have an hour or two movie to tie up delusions. That’s the problem with you shows they make you watch and then they just cancel with. No ending
I would like a movie to wrap up the loose story lines. Did Olivia admit to Paul that she cares about him? Will Justine and Luke last? Will MaryEllen and John get married and make the Galley a success? Will the Sagets bury the hatchet? Where will Cliff and Grace live? At the ranch? That would be a good story! Will Linnet ever forgive her parents and embrace her sister? Lots of other questions!
I wish I had known there was not a season 4 before I became invested in this series. So many unanswered questions. Maybe a 2 HR movie to tie things up?
