As reported two weeks back, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant have decided to end their series Extras after two seasons. The final episode will be a special Christmas episode and Gervais has just landed a big star for the finale – John Travolta.
While both were appearing on the British talk show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Ross jokingly put Travolta on the spot and asked him if he would appear on Gervais’ Extras. The actor had reportedly been asked previously but declined due to his schedule preparing for the big screen adaptation of Dallas. Travolta finally agreed on the air and Gervais said he’d hold him to it. Gervais and Travolta capped the evening and cemented the deal by dancing together on the show. Stay tuned!
