TV show description:
An intersection between reality and unconscious thought, this drama series is the story of three unrelated people. They slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream.
Each of these people is on a quest for something that can only be found in their subconscious. However, the more they begin to use the dream world — as a tool to advance their hidden agendas — the more they realize that their visions are trying to tell them something more, and that their real lives are at stake.
A reclusive and highly sought after trend-spotter/cool-hunter, Tess (Lizzie Brochere) has made a career of tapping into the zeitgeist. She’s tough but also fragile. Seven years ago, she had a nervous breakdown during which she became convinced she was pregnant and that she gave birth to a son. Eventually she got better, realizing that it was a delusion. But every night she still dreams of her missing boy. Is The Boy just a dream or, is he real?
The founder and CEO of tech company Boerg Industries, Bill Boerg (Zak Orth) is obsessed with connectivity and the possibility that through our dreams we can connect directly into each other’s psyches. For years, Bill has funded dream research through an R&D arm of his corporation. When he comes across Tess (with her powerful dreams), Bill offers to help her prove her son actually exists if in return she will participate in his research.
Taka (Will Yun Lee) is a rumpled and highly intuitive cop known as The Hunch. For the last seven years, his mother, an unstable artist, has been in a perpetual catatonic state. As a result Taka’s non-work life has become consumed by taking care of her. Taka’s world turns upside down when he stumbles across 12 dead bodies in house. The dead people are all members of an elusive cult centered around dreams. As Taka begins to investigate the cult, the cult leaders try to recruit Taka and tell him that his “hunches” are the result of his natural power as a dreamer. If he joins them, they can help him heal his mother. Can he turn them down?
Born in the East End of London, former British Army SAS Burton (David Ajala) is now a “fixer” for a large multinational investment bank known as The Firm. Burton is meticulous and controlled by nature, driven by logic and concrete knowledge. But when his lover, the mysterious Woman in Red (Anna Wood) vanishes without a trace — as if she never existed at all — Burton begins to question everything he’s always believed, including his own sanity.
A private equity specialist at The Firm, Woody Hammond (Kai Lennox) has the uncommon ability to invade people’s dreams. Woody’s mischievous exploits often land him in tricky situations, from which he usually manages to escape. His duplicitous nature makes it difficult to gauge where his loyalties lie, as he loves to play all sides against the middle.
