The Killing: Netflix and AMC Making Deal for Season Three of Cancelled TV Series

The Killing season threeNetflix and AMC are reportedly close to closing a deal to resurrect cancelled TV series, The Killing, for a third season. The cable channel opted to cancel the show a few months back, thanks to a big decline in ratings in season two.

Now Netflix and AMC are partnering to bring The Killing back. Word is that AMC would be able to air new episodes first and then they would be available on Netflix. The deal is said to resemble the one that DirecTV made with NBC to help keep Friday Night Lights alive a couple years ago.

Fox Television Studios have stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman locked in for season three and feelers are bing put out to key behind-the-scenes talent.

If the deal goes through, a February start date is being eyed.

What do you think? Are you hoping that The Killing will return for season three? What would you like to see happen?

This was a well-done, complex series and I enjoyed every minute of it. While it somewhat came to a conclusion, several storylines were ripe for future development. If this agreement between Netflix and AMC works out, I’ll be there watching in February!

So many shows I’d like Netflix to pick up.. but this isnt one of them. It often was just silly with its so called twists.

This was a great show.. I didn’t think it would come back after revealing what happened. But I would love to keep watching it.
