Ovation has changed the premiere date of A Young Doctor’s Notebook, their TV series that stars Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm.
The critically-acclaimed drama had been initially scheduled for October 3rd but will now debut on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 10pm. There are four episodes and it has already been renewed for a second season in the UK.
Produced by Big Talk Productions, and originally broadcast on Sky Arts in the UK, A Young Doctor’s Notebook became the highest-rated program in the network’s history and received widespread critical acclaim.
A Young Doctor’s Notebook follows the experiences of a newly graduated young doctor (Radcliffe) as told through the eyes of his older self (Hamm) and his journals. The young doctor lands a post at a small hospital in a remote village during the Russian Revolution. Dealing with superstitious and poorly educated patients creates a brutal introduction to his medical practice and causes the young doctor to struggle with self-doubt.
The show also features Adam Godley, Vicki Pepperdine, Rosie Cavaliero, and Paul Popplewell.
