The Bible mini-series was a big ratings success for the History channel. Will the follow-up AD: The Bible Continues be a hit for NBC? Will the network want another Bible-related mini-series? If it flops, could they pull this one off the air? Stay tuned.
The AD: The Bible Continues mini-series tells the tale of the later chapters of biblical history (following the Crucifixion of Christ). It focuses on the disciples who had to go forward and spread the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest. The cast includes Juan Pablo Di Pace, Adam Levy, Richard Coyle, Vincent Regan, Greta Scacchi, Babou Ceesay, Chipo Chung, Emmett J. Scanlan, Jodhi May, Joanne Whalley, Ken Bones, Kevin Doyle, Helen Daniels, and Fraser Ayers.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
7/3 update: NBC has cancelled the series. They won’t air a second season but…
Final season averages: 1.06 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.41 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the AD: The Bible Continues mini-series? Would you like to see another Bible-related mini-series on NBC?
Yes please bring it back it bring a lot of peace in my life knowing there is good out there not just evil shows. I love learning more about God and showing my children the meaning of God. I couldn’t believe how my children sat down and watch the show and told there friends about it that they need to watch it that it shows them a lot of the meaning of life and about God. I believe if it was out a little longer more people would watch it. Because if I had to work I made sure it… Read more »

Most definitely! Great show and biblicaly educational for the viewer that doesn’t yet know The true story the bible.
Im very disappointed that this series has come to an end. I understand the reasoning behind the cancelation but what really saddens me is that we have more viewers who are interested in watching garbage programs like Hannibal. Yes i will watch it wherever available. Please dont give up creating shows/movies like this, we need to clean up the crap reality shows. I agree that “Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord”.
I am so disappointed that the series ended. Please bring back on. If not on NBC, on the history channel. We Christians have a right to see decent TV without all the profanity and nudity etc. I Know why it was cancelled. Money and greed!! I couldn’t wait for Sun. nights to see what would happen next. So sad.
AT THIS MOMENT I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY? I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS SERIES OF A.D. IS JUST AN AMAZING MOVEMENT FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T REALLY UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE BECAUSE THESE THINGS WILL AND R HAPPENING BLOWS MY MIND .WHY NOT FINISH A GREAT MOVIE? ?THIS IS NOT JUST A MOVIE. ..IT’S A GREAT AND WONDERFUL UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE LORD. SO WHY NOT FINISH? BELIEVE IT OR NOT PEOPLE THERE R A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD AND IS WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN WHICHEVER IS NESSCESSARY TO BE HEARD THAT U WHOMEVER U MAY BE… Read more »

I would love to see this bible series continue. We watched th first 12 episodes faithfully and was sadden to see it end. Please bring more we and the country need more like this on TV. Im sick of violence and fake reality shows
It was a politically incorrect TV show like dukes of hazard it’s recalled I myself and family loved the numbers of viewers were altered
Very intense character contrasts. I appreciate the beauty of truth shared & if people decided to familiarize themselves with the details on which this book is based they would appreciate the creative licensing that fills out the various story histories. I would definitely watch the online channel, buy DVDs, & pay to see this series enacted.
Yes They need to keep this series on TV how about if we get rid of Hannibal. what kind of people can we put together to keep this show on TV.
