Could you survive an apocalypse? Today, Syfy announced their new series Aftermath will debut in September.
The post-apocalyptic drama centers on a family trying to survive a plague and mysterious creatures. The cast includes Anne Heche and James Tupper.
Aftermath premieres on September 27th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

AFTERMATH, a new 13-episode original co-production, is produced by Halfire Entertainment in association with Syfy and Space. AFTERMATH centers on one family – Karen (Anne Heche, “Hung,” “Men in Trees”) and Joshua Copeland (James Tupper, “Revenge,” Grey’s Anatomy”) and their children. The Copelands battle for survival after civilization comes to an apocalyptic end — and they are faced not only with plague – but the rise of supernatural creatures. Please don’t cancel Aftermath! It’s very different and entertaining. It always leaves you wondering what’s coming next. It also has an awesome cast!!

I should’ve seen what was coming when Tupper and the series local ‘sheriff’ describe part of the initial storm’s consequences as a, “Biblical,” occurrence – a yard covered with fish is only equalled by the yard covered in snakes, as the law enforcement character implies. The upcoming twist was evidenced by the appearance of two very butch looking men whose presence on the side of the road (on a truck with a large, mounted gin) is made surreal by the fact that both men seem to be wearing makeup, and the more muscular of the two is garbed in a… Read more »
Just watched the first episode. It’s a lot to take in but I really liked it very much and will continue to watch
