FX has announced that their Anger Management sitcom is ending next month. The series finale, which is also the comedy’s 100th episode, will air on December 22nd.
Revolving around an anger management therapist (Charlie Sheen) who has issues of his own, the cast also includes Shawnee Smith, Daniela Bobadilla, Michael Arden, Noureen DeWulf, Derek Richardson, and Martin Sheen. Selma Blair left midway through the second season.
Anger Management was part of a special 10-90 deal. If the first 10 episodes hit a certain ratings mark then a second season order of 90 episodes was automatically triggered.
No doubt bolstered by Sheen’s recent dismissal from Two and a Half Men, the first season attracted 2.98 million viewers with a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The second season has performed nearly as well. The 76 installments that have aired thus far have averaged 1.1 million with a 0.5 rating.
What do you think? Do you like Anger Management? Would you have watched a third season of this FX sitcom?
This was the worst show from an even worser person, probably only fellow losers would enjoy this show.
I loved the show once the wife and kid were gone. Great addition to the show with Brian Austin Green
Was great when Selma Blair was on the show, wasn’t so great when she lefr. After her write off from the show it jut became like two and a half men without allen and the son. It was funny though.
Love Anger Management ! Would definitely watch a third season. It makes me laugh. Well written
Love Charlie, love the “Anger Management” show too. Also love the other works he’s created ( and his families clearly genius talent too).:). Not much takes my mind off the absurdity in this world, quite the way he can in his sitcom Shenious way. In fact, his are the only “sitcoms” I regularly watch. Please keep sharing your talent with us, Charlie and all. Much thanks to U Charlie. XO, L.
I loved the show it made me laugh out loud not many shows do this all we have on TV is cop show, different crime shows what we are doing is teaching criminals to be smarter and how to get away with the crime.
We need more shows that make you laugh this world is getting to out of touch.
THE SHOW IS IN BROADCAST SYNDICATION NOW. IT IS TYPICAL FOR A PAY TV CHANNEL TO CANCEL A SERIES ONCE IT IS SYNDICATED EVEN IF IT IS GETTING DECENT RATINGS. USA DID THIS WITH BURN NOTICE AND TNT DID THIS WITH LEVERAGE.
This show is alright, it makes me laugh occasionally. It’s basically Two and a Half Men without the other man and a half. I agree with others, the show is better without the daughter and with very limited appearances by the ex-wife. The best plot laughs are created by the dysfunctional therapy group. I think Charlie Sheen is a good comedic actor, but he’s always Charlie Sheen no matter the background setting. If he does another show I’ll give it a look.
I really liked the show, the comedy was crisp, fast, very clever, hip & funny. The characters were great. I am really bummed out by this news and I hope some other network picks them up. It’s way better than the ridiculous Ashton Kutcher version of Two & A Half Men.
When Sheen caused his co-star to be fired I switched off.
Enjoyed the 2 2n3 21/2 m3n whow.
Enjoyed is and laughed often. Some of the situations weren’t funny and the laugh track was somewhat annoying but at the end I did find many of the situations committed me to laughter
Please dont end it. Id love a season 3
The 77th and 78th episodes will air tomorrow. The 89th and 90th episodes will air on December 22nd. The 100th episode will air in January.
FX thinks the 100th airs on 12/22.
Need more Anger management, please DO NOT END THIS !!!
I wouldn’t mind if it stayed around but, it did get alittle repetitious.
I’d watch Season 3 – 100. AngerManagement is great comedy which can be watched several times getting another laugh every single time! Absolutely nothing boring about this sitcom,I was expecting another
another 100 !!!
