As the sixth season of Army Wives is winding down, last night’s preview hinted that the TV series’ finale is in sight. The promo notes “only four more episodes until it all ends.”
The news doesn’t come as a surprise to our readers as we’ve suspected that there might not be a seventh season for quite awhile but it is the first time that Lifetime has hinted that the show is being cancelled.
For those who missed it, here’s the promo:
What do you think? Do you think there should be/will be a seventh season or is it time for Army Wives to go?
Please bring everyone back. This is the best show on Sunday. I wait for it all week long. We love Army Wives and we can all watch it.
What is wrong with Lifetime? Is this show too clean foe them?
No no no it shouldn’t be cancelled!! It is the one true show that truely honors the men and women of our military. It not only shows the trials and tribulations of the military, but it also shows how the families cope. Ease don’t let it end!!
I really enjoyed Army Wives; it’s a great show. Tonight’s episode was a cliff hanger that left questions unanswered. After Roxie & Trevor packed up the minivan to leave for Tacoma and were driving through the base, Roxie was reliving memories with Claudia Joy, Denise Sherwood, and finally Pamela. That tells me if the show is renewed, Sally Pressman and Drew Fuller might not be back or could it be a spinoff — who knows! The last scene was not knowing if the plane carrying Joan, Col Sherwood and everyone else who deployed for Afghanistan actually crashed. The final scene… Read more »
Why are they cancelling this show??? Please dont cancel this show, so you can put other Dance Mom on TV. We need something meaningful. Thisis a great show!!! WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU CANCEL SUCH A GREAT SHOW?? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS??????? BIG MISTAKE. I dont think, I will be watching this channel anymore.
I have really enjoyed Army Wives; it’s a great show. I knew something was wrong when Brigid and Jeremy left at the beginning of Season 6 and then Kim Delaney disappeared. Tonights episode was a cliff hanger that left questions unanswered. Roxie and Trevor leaving for Tacoma. After Roxie & Trevor packed up the minivan and were driving through the base, Roxie was reliving memories with Claudia Joy, Denise Sherwood, and finally Pamela. That tells me if the show is renewed, Sally Pressman and Drew Fuller might not be back for season 7 or if they are maybe in a… Read more »
I wish they would bring Army Wives back. There is so still so much story to be told. i don’t understand why they would cancel a successful series unless there is going to be a spin off. I guess we will have to wait and see
Please do not cancel the show. I barely watch tv but watched army wives with no problem at all. When watching army wives you feel a thousand different types of emotions. If you know someone in the military you can almost relate but if you don’t you can get a taste of how it feels if you did. Shows these days, in my opinion, have no true meaning. If anything give army wives one more season and end it properly. You can’t end it this way.
This show has it all….drama, comedy, romance and American pride…..please don’t let it come to an end!!! This is such a nice change over regular programming, wholesome and promotes good old fashioned family value with a very relevant insight into the state of the country today. So many good shows have come and gone PLEASE don’t let this be one of them!!
If they’re ending the show it’s a pretty lousy way to leave it, no answers and no resolution as to whether or not the plane survived!
I would love to see a seventh season of Army Wives
We really enjoyed the series. But, that was a horrible way to end the show! Why couldn’t producers just leave it as they were flying to Afghanistan to defend our freedom? We know it is just a form of entertainment…. But our hearts our broken over this finale! 🙁
Horrible way to end a series. At least give us a lookback 2 hour show and wind up a few story lines happily besides Trevor and Rox. Really, you want all these Army/Navy/Air Force/Marine/Coast Guard/National Guard families to see that kind of an ending as their spouses/partners/significant others are really deploying on a daily Basis? As an Army wife of 29 years, this really disappoints and saddens me, as it is not the way the show has been all these years, just leaving us with such a hopeless end for all of those families, unless of course the family going… Read more »
I THINK Army Wives needs to stay on the air. KIM DELANEY CAN BE REPLACED. This is a fantastic show. I think it gives a kind of insight as to what real army wives go through.
This is the one show that my husband and I never fail to sit down and watch together….and the one show that my best friend and I never fail to call across the country to talk about. From Vancouver,WA to Allen,MI, and far beyond, there are many, many people that so much enjoy this program. We all join in hoping and praying that this is not TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It );er, I mean that this is not the end of the series.
I have loved watching this show, don’t cancel it, especially the way it ended tonight, with us thinking that everyone who just promised their loved ones they would come home safe.
