HBO still has plenty of warm feelings for their Big Love series. The TV show is doing well and has just been renewed for season five.
Big Love follows the complicated personal life of polygamist Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) and his ever-growing Utah family. The cast includes Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amanda Seyfried, Douglas Smith, Grace Zabriskie, Harry Dean Stanton, Melora Walters, Joel McKinnon Miller, Matt Ross, and Keegan Holst.
The series attracted 1.7 million viewers for the season premiere on January 10th. That represented a nearly 50% increase over 2009’s season three debut. This year, the show has been experiencing a 13% increase over last season, despite some very stiff competition.
Though only four of this season’s nine episodes have aired thus far, HBO is feeling confident that the positive trend will continue. The pay-for-view channel has renewed the show for a fifth cycle of 10 installments.

The producers are currently putting the finishing touches on the last episodes of season four and will then begin thinking about season five.
According to Variety, executive producer Will Scheffer said, “We’re lucky we got another year, as we really were in a place where we didn’t want to end the series. We’re thrilled to take another shot and see where to take the characters.”
Season five of Big Love is expected to begin filming in June or July and will be shown next winter.

I love the series. I don’t ever want to by polygamist, but the show explains how it can all work – dividing all the housework, babysitting, caring for the children, taking care of the dad to the point where I’m okay with this…..it is just a TV show. I don’t want to be a polygamist but I love seeing their adventures on HBO and can’t wait for the new season to begin!
I really love this show. The characters are casted beautifully. I love Margene and expect her and Ben to get it on sooner or later. I’m hoping that Barb isn’t sick and Nikki is just too much with her spending sprees and birth control. I really hope this season (5th) isn’t the finale. I pay for HBO just to watch Big Love. If they cancel, I’m leaving HBO, that’s it!

I’m a big fan of Big Love. I have been watching it since it came on. So far I have got my mom an my sister addicted to it too. I can’t wait till the new season starts,an I’m always devastsated when the season is over. I hope there are many more season’s to come. Cannot wait for season five.Only sad that that it will start in the winter not this fall.

I love Big Love, it’s so awesome, I feel as though it is my family now! I bought series 1 and 2 and will buy 3, I’ve also brought it to work with me and I’m sharing with my co-workers who havent seen it and have got them hooked! Please dont cancel this show, its the best thing on HBO! I know we’re just the little people out her but hopefully our opinion counts for something!!! Thanks again!

please whatever you do , dont cancel Bug Love. it’s the best show bar none on HBO or anyother station, and it’s not just myself there’s 8 people in my household we all watch it together and also friends come ober to watch, heck we watch the re-run’s over and over until the next set of show’s of which by the way are way to long apart for waiting and way to short for a season, you all should make Big Love as an weekley show at least 6 months out of each year…

Brought up as a sober dutch person, never experience t.v. show addiction until I started watching Big Love!!! It is so awesome. I hope HBO continues to carry it forever!
