Even though The Blacklist TV show’s ratings have dropped significantly each year, NBC still renewed it for a fifth season. Meanwhile, the spin-off — The Blacklist: Redemption — was cancelled after just one installment. At the end of this season, the original series should have well over 100 episodes in the can — more than enough for an attractive syndication package. Is this the end of the road for the Concierge of Crime? Will The Blacklist be cancelled or renewed for season six? Stay tuned.
An action thriller, The Blacklist stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Kattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Harry Lennix, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò, and Hisham Tawfiq. The NBC crime drama centers on one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives, Raymond “Red” Reddington (Spader). He offers to help the authorities, if rookie agent Elizabeth Keen (Boone) partners with him. In season five, Red is in the process of rebuilding his criminal empire, with her at his side. Although she’s still working for the Feds, Liz is sorely tempted to indulge her more criminal side. **Status update below.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/17 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The fourth season of The Blacklist averaged a 0.99 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.284 million viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

I have recommended this show to at least 15 people please do not cancel it! For the first time in years, I am soooo into a show and actually pull through with following up on it, and so have my friends that I have recommended. Great story line and great characters. I love that every season it is consistent with familiar faces.
Love this show! Spader is awesome
And love all the characters
We will be absolutely devistated if they do not continue The Blacklist series!!! This is the Best show we have seen in a very long time, we can’t get enough of it. I really don’t think that the live ratings should be the only way to determine the success of this show. So many people use other devices or ways of viewing television shows and movies these days and many people have strayed away from paying the expensive cable bills and switched to a way of streaming it on Hulu, Netflix, the Amazon fire stick etc, that is a much… Read more »

Best program to hit television in years. Best be renewed!!!!
I love The Blacklist and have watched all 5 seasons. I have enjoyed the character development even if sometimes I disagreed with the direction taken, the twist make it fun and entertaining to watch. I already loved James Spaders’ acting and have come to appreciate the rest of the cast too.
I too have watched it from the beginning, it is the only show I wait each episode to see, and will not even answer a phone during it’s broadcast. Spader is Awesome, love his work, his acting, and first followed him years back on Boston Legal, fantastic actor bar none!
Yes PLEASE renew it
I love this show!!! James Spader is wonderful in this show! Please keep it on!!!!
Please don’t cancel my favorite show. I have watched every episode since the start. You can start the new season with Liz and her sister getting to know eachother and both disliking their father. Of course Liz will still have to work with him but she can take him out of her personal like. Liz’s sister hasn’t even met her niece. And as Liz eventually finds out what has truly happened to her husband she and her sister can commiserate with eachother for their lost father figure and father( emotionally anyway)
I love this show. Dont cancel. It is my favorite show over all ithers.
