The following is the fourth part of a list of TV series that are ending or have been cancelled during the 2010-11 season.
For more, be sure to check out part one, part two, and part three of the listings.
Note: Go here for the latest 2011-12 season list.
Networks and cable channels have different ideas of when a season starts or ends but, to us, it makes sense to start the season on June 1, 2010 and and it on May 31, 2011. In some cases, the last episode of a show aired earlier than these dates but the network didn’t get around to canceling the series until later. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, try the 2008–2009 page, the 2009–2010 listings.
Scoundrels (ABC)
Airing over the summer, this TV show performed even worse than its sister show, The Gates. All seven episodes have aired and there won’t be any more.
Shaq Vs (ABC) NEW
This reality series pits the star athlete against other stars in their own fields of expertise. It ran for two seasons and 10 episodes but is now done.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Showtime) NEW
Star and executive producer Billie Piper signed a deal for the fourth and final season of this UK series. They’ll begin airing on Showtime on April 7th.
Skating with the Stars (ABC)
Essentially an on-ice version of Dancing with the Stars, this reality series was not a hit in the ratings and won’t be back for season two.
Smallville (The CW)
After 10 seasons, it looks like Clark Kent will finally become Superman. Will we get to see the man of steel slip on the familiar blue and red tights before the end? We’ll have to wait and see.
Stargate Universe (Syfy)
The most recent member of the Stargate franchise hasn’t attracted as many fans as the previous series. Syfy has cancelled the show and all of the episodes have now aired. Producers and MGM are looking at possible ways to continue the series in some way.
The Suite Life on Deck (Disney) NEW
After two series, it looks like Mr. Moseby is finally getting a rest. Mr. Tipton sells the ship and Cody, Zack, London, Bailey, and Woody graduate.
Supernanny (ABC)
Nanny Jo Frost announced that she wanted to end the series so that she can start a family of her own. The finale aired on March 18, 2011.
Terriers (FX)
Though many viewers and critics loved it, this series never caught on in a big way. FX aired all 13 episodes but there won’t be any more.
Traffic Light (FOX) NEW
This sitcom got poor ratings right out of the gate and they went lowers as the weeks went on. FOX has cancelled it after 13 episodes and one season.
True Beauty (ABC) NEW
Contestants on this reality show believe that they’re competing in a contest of external appearance and talents but they’re actually being judged on their inner beauty. It lasted 16 episodes and two seasons.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) NEW
This sitcom revolves around the Payne family who live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. With 222 episodes, it’s the second-longest running US sitcom with an African-American cast (behind The Jeffersons).
Undercovers (NBC)
An action-comedy series that revolves around a husband and wife spy duo never really got off the ground. The peacock network has decided against ordering anymore episodes, effectively cancelling the TV show.
V (ABC) NEW
The alphabet network renewed the serial despite lackluster ratings. Season two did even worse so the cancelled it. Sorry Visitors!
United States of Tara (Showtime) NEW
The ratings had been sliding for quite awhile so the cable channel decided not to order a fourth season.
The Whole Truth (ABC)
This legal series starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney had lousy premiere numbers and the ratings seemed to sink lower every week. It’s not known if the network will get around to airing all of the episodes.
Working Class (CMT)
The cable channel’s first sitcom had a great start but the ratings dropped too low for it to get renewed. The last episode aired on April 1st.

What do you think? Are there any shows on this list that you’ll particularly miss?
I am very upset to find out that Off the Map, Chicago Code and Brothers and Sisters have been cancelled due to not enough of a following. These were my favorite shows…Off the Map and Chicago Code were not given enough of a chance to gather followers. We are not back in the day when there were only 4 networks on TV… there are 100’s of channels that people can choose from and by the time they find out about these cancelled TV shows it’s too late. Why not take off shows like The Simpsons, and the reality shows (too… Read more »
Okay I see so far about 21 shows or more that have been canceled, some of which didn’t even stay on long enough for people to even know that the show was on, very sad. People do work and sometimes don’t get home till after the 7 to 9 p.m. shows are all gone off, so they never even get to see the show, sad. I can not believe the networks are so inconsiderate of the public’s view, that they don’t give us a chance to see the shows. I told people that I know about some of the shows… Read more »
I will miss The Event, Chase, Lie To Me, Human Target, Criminal Minds – Suspect Behavior, V, and few others. Shawn Kelly’s comments in this thread really nail it on the head. One of the problems trying to follow a series these days is just knowing when they will be on. It seems like one week they are there, then their superseded by a “special” the next week. The come on with a season premier then a few episodes later it’s the season finale. And moving shows from night to night or even other networks is insane and hard to… Read more »
Sad… I’ll miss Human Target, Lie To Me and Chicago Code ! this sucks !
Yet another season where various executives decide a show does not have enough viewers so they cancel them. Could this be because of the constant time slot shifting, or could it be they no longer fully promote, or could it be that run time has been significantly been cut over the past few years to allow for more advertizing and less time for plot and character development per episode. Or could it be from miscalculation. These “Heads of Industry” are going by an old standard without taking in proper account of changing times. Many of these shows are killed before… Read more »
I will miss Lie to Me! Great show. So different and fun to watch.
I absolutely LOVED Lie to Me, can’t imagine why they would axe that one; Detroit 1-2-3 had a great edge to it, gritty and raw and more believable than most; Criminal Intent, but only the ones with Vincent D’Onofrio, they ruined the show when they chopped it up with other investigators. They ruined Human Target when they added all the women, it was the very best the first season, what is wrong with producers that can’t just leave perfection alone!
I will miss Lie to Me, America’s Most Wanted, and Criminal Minds – Suspect Behavior. I watched them every week and thought they were really well scripted and acted. I’m so sick of infomercials for crap I won’t ever buy and reality shows. I guess my opinion doesn’t matter because I’m not in the 18-25 category of Nielson viewers who watch that crap.
There are several I felt were good shows and enjoyed watching. Breaking In was funny with potential, The Defenders and The Event were also good shows. It’s a shame that so many “so-called” reality shows are on tv, do people really think that crap is real let alone interesting or funny! I’m finding a majority of good series both comedy & Drama are either on a premium channel (HBO,Showtime, etc) or TNT and TBS rather than one of the “old” big four (ABC,CBS,NBC & FOX) TV is supposed to be funny, dramatic and suspenseful and take you away from your daily… Read more »
wow: I will really miss: Lie to Me, L & O: LA, Criminal Minds-Suspect Behavior and OUTSOURCED!!!!! are you kiddin me right now!!
Chase, Human Target, Law & Order Criminal Intent & L. & O LA, The Event, Detroit 187, Undercovers. I don’t care for Law & Order SVU
I will miss Human Target and Lie to Me…both great shows with great casts.
I’m not happy about losing Off the Map…….especially since it was replaced with that goofy, 20-something, Happy Endings. I will also miss V…………and Brothers and Sisters.
Lie to Me and Smallville. The Defenders was decent too.
I will definitely miss Lie To Me!! I’ve even watched episodes on line. I also liked Medium.
