The following is the fourth part of a list of TV series that are ending or have been cancelled during the 2010-11 season.
For more, be sure to check out part one, part two, and part three of the listings.
Note: Go here for the latest 2011-12 season list.
Networks and cable channels have different ideas of when a season starts or ends but, to us, it makes sense to start the season on June 1, 2010 and and it on May 31, 2011. In some cases, the last episode of a show aired earlier than these dates but the network didn’t get around to canceling the series until later. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, try the 2008–2009 page, the 2009–2010 listings.
Scoundrels (ABC)
Airing over the summer, this TV show performed even worse than its sister show, The Gates. All seven episodes have aired and there won’t be any more.
Shaq Vs (ABC) NEW
This reality series pits the star athlete against other stars in their own fields of expertise. It ran for two seasons and 10 episodes but is now done.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Showtime) NEW
Star and executive producer Billie Piper signed a deal for the fourth and final season of this UK series. They’ll begin airing on Showtime on April 7th.
Skating with the Stars (ABC)
Essentially an on-ice version of Dancing with the Stars, this reality series was not a hit in the ratings and won’t be back for season two.
Smallville (The CW)
After 10 seasons, it looks like Clark Kent will finally become Superman. Will we get to see the man of steel slip on the familiar blue and red tights before the end? We’ll have to wait and see.
Stargate Universe (Syfy)
The most recent member of the Stargate franchise hasn’t attracted as many fans as the previous series. Syfy has cancelled the show and all of the episodes have now aired. Producers and MGM are looking at possible ways to continue the series in some way.
The Suite Life on Deck (Disney) NEW
After two series, it looks like Mr. Moseby is finally getting a rest. Mr. Tipton sells the ship and Cody, Zack, London, Bailey, and Woody graduate.
Supernanny (ABC)
Nanny Jo Frost announced that she wanted to end the series so that she can start a family of her own. The finale aired on March 18, 2011.
Terriers (FX)
Though many viewers and critics loved it, this series never caught on in a big way. FX aired all 13 episodes but there won’t be any more.
Traffic Light (FOX) NEW
This sitcom got poor ratings right out of the gate and they went lowers as the weeks went on. FOX has cancelled it after 13 episodes and one season.
True Beauty (ABC) NEW
Contestants on this reality show believe that they’re competing in a contest of external appearance and talents but they’re actually being judged on their inner beauty. It lasted 16 episodes and two seasons.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) NEW
This sitcom revolves around the Payne family who live in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. With 222 episodes, it’s the second-longest running US sitcom with an African-American cast (behind The Jeffersons).
Undercovers (NBC)
An action-comedy series that revolves around a husband and wife spy duo never really got off the ground. The peacock network has decided against ordering anymore episodes, effectively cancelling the TV show.
V (ABC) NEW
The alphabet network renewed the serial despite lackluster ratings. Season two did even worse so the cancelled it. Sorry Visitors!
United States of Tara (Showtime) NEW
The ratings had been sliding for quite awhile so the cable channel decided not to order a fourth season.
The Whole Truth (ABC)
This legal series starring Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney had lousy premiere numbers and the ratings seemed to sink lower every week. It’s not known if the network will get around to airing all of the episodes.
Working Class (CMT)
The cable channel’s first sitcom had a great start but the ratings dropped too low for it to get renewed. The last episode aired on April 1st.

What do you think? Are there any shows on this list that you’ll particularly miss?
Since they have cancelled The Event, I hope they don’t leave us hanging. Since the last show is next Tuesday, I hope they just end it. I hate it when they leave us dangling.
I love loseing it with jillian thAt show really touch my heart!!!
AwwW I’m going to miss brothers and sisters why cancel that show!!!
9 of our favorites are gone!! Unfortunately, I guess “stupid” rules.
Stargate Universe was so well written!!!! I can’t believe it! Again I feel like we are going to be left with cheap reality crap and more cooking shows, REALLY! There is like a whole network dedicated to that and everyone with a skillet wants to tell you how it’s done. One Life to Live I’ve watched since highschool and tivo it to stay caught up. Oh yeah another cooking show ir replacing it. No need to tivo anything in daytime now except the View.
this show was really funny i am sorry it is being cancelled there are some really crappy shows on tv that show be cancelled but melissa and joey was not cancelled so i guess i am ok
NOOOO NOT V SCREW ABC NOW THERES NOTHING TO WATCH ON UR CHANNEL ITS NOT THE SHOW THATS BAD EVERYONE HAS FORGOT THAT ABC IS EVEN A CHANNEL ANY MORE JUST LIKE UPN THEY SHOULD OF CLOSED THE ENDING IF THEY WERE GONNA CANCEL THEY DID THE SAME THING TO FLASHFORWARD ABC COULD CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT THEIR VIEWERS WANT. ITS NOT UR SHOW ABC ITS U ABC SUCKS! THEY NEED TO REVAMP LIKE FOX DID AND WB/CW ABC WILL FAIL IF THEY DONT GET WITH THIS DECADE.
Lie to me? Human target? Outsourced? What are these ppl thinking? Great shows but chicago code is an amazing show! I cant believe it wont be back!
I loved the Defenders! I am so disappointed it got cancelled! I also really liked Mad Love . BUMMED!!
Elly, I think you are correct…the face of TV is changing…not sure I like it at all..real life for pretend and escape life. I guess we will soon be paying money at the theatre’s to see our neighbors have an argument or sleeping with our spouses… well, there is always reading. my biggest heart break is ‘Ladies no.1 Detective Agency”…what a great show that was..shame on you HBO.
I just don’t understand why shows like “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” can last but quality shows like “Boston Legal” (cancelled a couple of season ago), “Off the Map” , “Rescue Me” and the like can be cancelled. These shows are quality entertainment and not the normal drivel that “The Simpsons and Family Guy” try to stuff down our throats.
Well at least we have “Survivor and Amazing Race” still.
Darn, I hate this …. I loved, Lie to Me, Brothers and Sister , The V and Lost and Better With You!!!! I do not love TV but I watched the above faithfully. It all reality TV anymore but I like plots and story lines. Yet they keep Courger Town, 16 and Preg go figure!
What a complete disappointment! I loved the Defenders and could always look forward to a laugh when I watched it. Too bad they just didn’t give it a chance. Maybe another network will pick it up. Belushi is hilarious and so was Jerry. What is television coming to? It seems reality TV is taking over. Do we not get enough reality in real life? That is why we watch television!!! To escape our own reality. CBS has become really disppointing. I will not watch there network again. Looks like I will be renewing my Netflix.
Lie to Me? Chicago Code? 2 of my favorites. That stinks!
So basically what I just read is to unplug my DVR and start fresh. Chicago Code, The Event, Perfect Couples (hilarious), and worst of all, DETROIT 187 are no longer!!! I couldn’t hear enough good things about these shows around the water cooler. Interesting to see that if a show doesn’t perform like Modern Family that the networks move on to the next. I’ve looked at the shows to come and they are nothing to get excited about.
