Hayley Atwell’s last ABC series, Marvel’s Agent Carter, lasted two seasons before being cancelled. How will Conviction do in the ratings? Will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A legal drama series, Conviction follows what happens when attorney Hayes Morrison (Hayley Atwell), the daughter of a former President, gets “blackmailed” into joining the Conviction Integrity Unit. It’s a NYC department that re-examines cases when there is suspicion of wrongful conviction. The rest of the cast includes Eddie Cahill, Shawn Ashmore, Merrin Dungey, Emily Kinney, Manny Montana, and Daniel Franzese.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/26 update: Although not officially announced, Conviction has been cancelled by ABC. Details here.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Please do not cancel this show…leave good acting, writing & themes for non millennials!!!
My husband and I love the show, which is saying a lot because we rarely find anything on tv that to us is worth watching. A show doesn’t have to be filled with nonstop violence, sex, or relationship drama to be good. Sometimes a little intellectual drama is good for the soul, as well as the mind. Perhaps being aired on Sunday nights after the NFL when you never really know until the game is over exactly what time it will air has some affect on the lower ratings. Please DO NOT CANCEL Conviction. I look forward to it every week. It’s a smart show with an excellent cast. Give it another chance. I’m 68 years old and I’m tired of all the shows geared for a younger audience!!!! This is an excellent show!!!
From Canada and love this show…drama, strong woman presence…it is a breath
of fresh air !
Come on! Who is deciding on whether or not to cancel shows! This is a GREAT show! Stop taking great shows off the air and replacing them with stupid “Reality” shows.
I think it is so stupid that your networks cancel a new show before you give it chance. You put the show in spots where other big shows are competeting against it. Monday night where it originally was, was a great spot. There is literally nothing on. My husband and I would rather watch reruns of something else. This reality crap is not for everyone! Lose money, I don’t care! But seriously you need to find shows that are for the 40 something. Why do you think Netflix is a huge success and Hulu.
Amen. Some days have NOTHING on why everything on Thursday or Wednesday.
