Hayley Atwell’s last ABC series, Marvel’s Agent Carter, lasted two seasons before being cancelled. How will Conviction do in the ratings? Will it be renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A legal drama series, Conviction follows what happens when attorney Hayes Morrison (Hayley Atwell), the daughter of a former President, gets “blackmailed” into joining the Conviction Integrity Unit. It’s a NYC department that re-examines cases when there is suspicion of wrongful conviction. The rest of the cast includes Eddie Cahill, Shawn Ashmore, Merrin Dungey, Emily Kinney, Manny Montana, and Daniel Franzese.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/26 update: Although not officially announced, Conviction has been cancelled by ABC. Details here.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Conviction TV series on ABC? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
5/12 update: ABC has officially cancelled Conviction after one season. Details here.
My wife and I really enjoy Conviction. It is an interesting premise and the case solution process holds your attention. We like Haley Atwell and miss Agent Carter (which we think we was ruined by second season plot that was just too far out in sci-fi fantasy land). We hope ABC keeps Conviction around for at least another season and gives it a chance to develop further.
i love this show much more than I thinh. Hope its not cancelled
This show is fantastic! I can’t believe they’re thinking about cancellation. So many great shows are canceled after only one season. Recently, Stalker and Eye Candy. Also, Freaks and Geeks. Not to mention all of the shows that end on a cliffhanger and I for one need closure. Please vote for Conviction in the People’s Choice Awards 2017.

Sadly I feel the same way. I want to so badly get into it but I just can’t. Glad I’m not the only one.
Renewed, I love it. I think is deserves a full season. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled.
I like this show so it is likely to be cancelled…..hopefully the station gives it a chance, you really can’t tell by the first couple of episodes how it will pan out especially when there are people who don’t have conventional tv (cable) and are streaming it….how can you measure that?
