France’s TF1 and Sony Pictures Television Networks have renewed Crossing Lines for a second season.
There will be 12 episodes this time around (vs 10 episodes in season one) and production will begin on September 22nd. Locations will include France, the Czech Republic, Monte Carlo and Bulgaria.
Regulars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland, Marc Lavoine, Tom Wlaschiha, Gabriella Pession and Richard Flood will all return, along with Lara Rossi, who was introduced late in the first season. Guest stars will include Carrie-Anne Moss and Ray Stevenson.
Crossing Lines has been very popular internationally, airing in over 180 territories. It hasn’t been a big hit here in the states however.
NBC aired the series on Sunday nights this summer to poor ratings. The season finale registered just a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.06 million viewers — series lows.
The peacock network says that they haven’t made a decision on the future of the show on NBC. Unfortunately, based on the ratings, there’d be little incentive to license season two of Crossing Lines.
If they don’t pick it up, the show could find a US home on a cable channel, possibly one that’s owned by NBC-Universal like USA Network. Merlin underperformed on NBC in its first year so it was moved to Syfy for the later four seasons.
What do you think? Should NBC pick up season two of Crossing Lines or cancel the low-rated series instead? Would you watch it on a cable channel like USA?
You MUST bring Crossing Lines back!! The only reason ratings were low was lack of promotion. Promote the show and “they will come”!!!
Loved, loved, loved IT! Cannot wait for second season. Hope Anna Marie is alive. Did not know it was on NBC- caught it on netflix. Will definitely watch it on cable!!!Network TV has too many commercials. I will gladly pay for this great show. No problem
Please, Please, Please RE-NEW ! ! ! I just saw the first season on NETFLIX ! ! ! What a great show. I could not pull myself away.
Renew. Definitely. This is a great show. I know it is a cerebral show and takes someone with the ability to actually watch and listen so it probably is not for all of the American audiences but please please renew anyway
RENEW!!!! great show!
I watched it on Sundays and loved it. Watched it again on Netflix. Really want to see more of this show so am putting in my vote to have it return to NBC and to Netflix!
Please being this show back. I didn’t even know it existed until I read about it on the internet. It obviously wasn’t promoted well. I love Donald Sutherland and I would have watched it from the beginning if I had known about it.
Yes you should renew this show, it was one of the best on NBC. I watched it when it initially aired. Unfortunately, NBC never advertises it’s shows or gives them enough time to become popular with the audience. This one’s a keeper and should be renewed.
Also saw Crossing Lines on Netflix and really liked it. Didn’t know it was on network TV on Sunday of all days. The same night and same time as Betrayal and a few good PBS programs. Would like to see a season two as one left unanswered questions.
Saw it on Netflix and want to see more of it. Please bring it back! The only reason it didn’t have good rating is because no one knew it was on! Everyon that has watched it – loves it!

Love the show. Watched it on Netflix. I am hoping it continues, it is well done, cast well, and written very well.
Bring back Crossing Lines
Love the show! Would watch on ANY channel
One of the best I’ve watched! I did not known it existed until I found it on Netflix, WHY? Must have been at a bad time and an off night. It needs to be on prime time!
