Mr. Wilson better watch out. Variety reports Stacey Menear has been hired by Warner Bros. to write a new Dennis the Menace film.
Created as a comic strip by Hank Ketcham, Dennis the Menace centers on the adventures of the young Dennis Mitchell, whose antics often annoy his grumpy neighbor, Mr. Wilson.
The comic was adapted into a sitcom in 1959, starring Jay North and Joseph Kearns. An animated series was produced in 1986, and in 1993, a live-action film starring Walter Matthau was released.
No other details about the new Warner Bros. movie have been announced.
