Are you a fan of renovating old homes? Well, FYI will have a new series debut later this year that will show you how Frank & Sherry Fontana renovate homes. The new series is set for a Fall 2016 debut on the network.
FYI released a press statement about the new series. Check that out below:
“FYI has greenlit the new original series, “Downtown Shabby,” from 3 Ball Entertainment, it was announced today by Gena McCarthy, EVP of Programming and Development for FYI. Production has already begun on eight one-hour episodes, with the series slated to premiere in Fall 2016.
Across America, there are thousands of older homes that look like the perfect dream house on the outside, but are practically unlivable on the inside. These beautiful vintage homes hide dark secrets from dry rot, to weak foundations, to cramped design or even termite infestations. In “Downtown Shabby,” renovation and design experts, Frank and Sherry Fontana, will take these homes and renovate, remodel and ultimately revive them into modern masterpieces.
“Frank and Sherry are proven talent in the home renovation space and will bring their passion for property preservation to this new series,” said McCarthy. “Downtown Shabby’ will capture huge renovations, unexpected challenges and stunning reveals.”
True Value will be integrated into each episode of the series and will help drive the design aesthetic of the transformed historic homes. The robust partnership will also include custom short form content, on-air segments offering viewers inspirational take-away on featured projects, co-branded cross promotion and more.
While keeping an eye towards the charm and class of the original home, Frank and Sherry will modernize every aspect of the interior, from opening the floor plan to installing the latest cutting edge technology. The series will also document the lives of the homeowners as they remain in the homes throughout the renovation process.
“Downtown Shabby” is produced for FYI by 3 Ball Entertainment. Executive producers for 3 Ball Entertainment are Todd A. Nelson, DJ Nurre, Ross Weintraub and Curnal Aulisio. Executive producers for FYI are Gena McCarthy and James Bolosh.”
