It looks like the magic is over for the three ladies of Eastwick. ABC network has decided against ordering any additional episodes of the supernatural series, effectively cancelling it.
Eastwick revolves around three women (Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, and Jaime Ray Newman) who meet at a wishing fountain and become friends. Soonafter, mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Paul Gross) moves to town and unleashes powers within the ladies. The cast also includes Ashley Benson, Johann Urb, Jon Bernthal, Sara Rue, and Veronica Cartwright.
The show got off to a slow start on September 23rd with a 3.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and 8.5 million total viewers. The second installment fell to a 2.3 in the demo and 6.57 million viewers. The third week fell again to a 1.8 and 5.14 million.

In the weeks that followed, the ratings didn’t get any better and more frequently got worse. Last week, Eastwick hit an all-time low of 1.5 in the demo and 4.4 million.
ABC has opted to pull the show from the schedule for two weeks. This Wednesday, it’s replaced by the Country Music Awards. Next week, it’s being bumped for an interview special called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson. Though Eastwick is scheduled to return on Thanksgiving eve with a new episode, the supernatural drama won’t be around for long after that.
ABC has decided not to order any additional episodes of Eastwick, effectively cancelling the series after 13 episodes. It’s unknown if the last episode will wrap up the ongoing storylines. For now, ABC plans to air all six remaining installments but, if the ratings keep declining, the network could easily pull the series before that happens.

I want the show back. It has a combination of deceit, love, comedy, drama, fun and more in a unique and interesting story line. Each week I searched for the show on the tv guide. I miss EastWick.
ABC needs to stop playing and bring EASTWICK back because i love this show and i’ve always looked forward to watching this show every week now my wednesday are emtpy 🙁
My husband and I loved this show!!!!!! It had so much more character than the shows that just show someone getting killed and then the cops dissecting corpses for the remaining hour….Bring our show back!
I want my show baaaaaaaaaaack! I loved it! I had it set to record on my DVR so I was actually wondering if recording it is what causes the ratings to go down….??
So anyway I got into Casmere Mafia and it was also canceled!
What’s going to end up happening is people out of anger will stop watching ABC and then see what happens.

I really enjoyed this show. It hasn’t been on forever. I come to find out why, and I find out it has been canceled. I personally think they didn’t give this show enough time to prove itself. Leave it on a little longer people.
I think that if the programme is to end then they should finish out the series as i’m sure for most fans that they would want to know how it ends. I think it is not very professional despite the tv rateings to end in such an abrupt way. I am a really big fan of this type of programme and it would be a shame and a disappointment to not see the last eopisodes.
The way that it ended sucked!!!! They need to atleast bring it back on an finish it!!!!

me and my family loves this show.. it would be upsetting if u take this show off the air… if you wouldn’t put other things in that time slot .. then people would be watching it…so keep it on the air..
I am so upset. The show was great. I really miss it. I don’t think it ended well at all. It needs to come back on. I really think it is awful to start a show and only show a few episodes and cancell it. If it wasn’t for All My Children. I would not be watching ABC. So when are you going to cancel that show. This is why I am planning to stop watching ABC all together. I will watch it on Soap Net. Get real…stop playing with your viewers. This is why ABC has such low ratings.
Yeah this show should really be brought back. There are other shows on ABC that need to be cancelled, not this one. ABC sucks if they do cancel it. I always set it to record on my DVR because I’m a busy person and I ALWAYS looked forward to watching it when I could. This is real BS.
Yeah I thought it was real BS too. I really loved the show and the only reason I didn’t watch it the night it came on was because it was set to record on my dvr. I was wondering what happened when I didn’t see it on there for two weeks but then I saw it there again and was glad but now I’m really disappointed. It was a great show and ABC should really give it a chance.
I loved the show. My daughter and I scheduled everything around it. It’s the only thing we did together. I’m not ready for it to end. Bring it back or at least a few more episodes to bring a conclusion to the show. Please……
