Will Famous in Love return for a second season? During a recent panel at the ATX Television Festival, co-creator I. Marlene King spoke about the future of the Freeform TV show, Deadline reports.
Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle, the drama centers on Paige Townsen (Bella Thorne), a college student who rises to fame after landing a big role in Hollywood. The cast also includes Carter Jenkins, Charlie Depew, Georgie Flores, Niki Koss, Pepi Sonuga, Keith Powers, and Perrey Reeves.
During a panel for Pretty Little Liars, King said she’s excited that people are watching Famous in Love:
I’m finding that more and more people who have binged… are starting to watch it live with us because we were doing a lot of social media. Although we were nervous about it, it’s exciting because a lot of people have already seen the show.”
But will there be a second season? Freeform has not announced a renewal yet and so far ratings aren’t great for the freshman series. Currently, Famous in Love is averaging a .14 rating in the 18-49 demo and 339,00 viewers, making it one of the network’s lowest-rated TV shows for the 2016-2017 season.
However, despite low ratings, Freeform executive Jennifer Gerstenblatt says the network loves the show is trying to make a second season work.

I think Freeform should definitely renew the TV series Famous in Love. I absolutely loved the show and fell in love with the characters. It would be such a shame if they didn’t come out with a season 2.
Famous in Love is an amazing show, I’m in love and my whole family watches it and I get excited every Tuesday because that’s the day a new episode comes out, and it would be very awful if you just left season 1 on a cliffhanger and don’t make a season 2!!

Breaking the ceiling on traditional way of doing things; this is a new age way to watch a series by allowing the whole season at once be available to watch breaking time crunches for everyone’s life style at every age group!
