With the Law & Order and Chicago franchises, executive producer Dick Wolf has a very impressive track record of making long-running TV shows for NBC. Now, he and Craig Turk have made another one — the FBI TV series — for CBS, a network that already has quite a few procedural dramas. Will it be a ratings success and be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
Airing on CBS, the FBI TV show stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Ebonée Noel, Jeremy Sisto, and Sela Ward. The program revolves around the inner workings of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office and a group of first-class agents. The team brings all of their talents and technical expertise to solve major cases of tremendous magnitude — including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly on the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/15 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the FBI TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
1/25/19 update: CBS has renewed the FBI TV show for a second season.
The show is not pulling its weight. The characters are good looking which helps but are not compelling. Its becoming a chore to watch. I put this on my queue but had to delete a lot of the episodes cause I couldn’t bring myself to bother watching them. I might just end up dropping it altogether. It’s not bad just plain average.
Why is that guy always screaming?!? If he is on the phone or just speaking with people?
Otherwise, nice series.
The FBI show is excellent compared to any others in the time slot. Actually it’s a great show. Please leave it alone. Do not remove or place it in a different time slot. You are forcing me to use Netflix or Amazon for something interesting.
Don’t cancel the show at all love the FBI
No it should not be canceled at all I love the show Not going to See Code Red At All will been watching something else instead
Glad FBI is renewed. It’s a good show and we really like the characters.
I Watched FBI last night and i am 67 years old and have Female superiors a lot and i never had a problem with it . Im getting sick of Hollywood and the me movement and the woman who started it molested a young boy who she paid off but i guess thats ok. But keep politics out of tv shows for im watching less and less shows because of it like Law and order SVU for they are to much. but the woman act like they are being treated like crap and we taking us back many years for… Read more »
I agree. I am so tired of the Me Too stuff. We have enough BS already. The FBI are at their lowest in real life, and this ridiculous segment just adds to it. Any more and I for one will turn it off permanently
I have only watched three shows, and was beginning to become interested in the plots of the series. Last night while watching I was disappointed in the plot, as it went from persons being targets of a mad bomber to a Feminist plot. I did not pay a lot of attention to the lead Special agent being a female, or the lead investigator being female until the plot became the male employees having a problem with the CEO being female, the male agent being sent to assist trying to take over the investigation, and during the interview the suspect was anti… Read more »
I still can’t believe Code Black got canceled for this show. Boring.
