The ABC TV show about what happens in the future apparently doesn’t have one. FlashForward has been cancelled after one season.
FlashForward begins as the world’s population blacks out for 137 seconds and they “flash forward” to see visions of their lives six months in the future. The series’ ensemble cast includes Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List, Dominic Monaghan, Brian F. O’Byrne, Courtney B. Vance, Sonya Walger, and Christine Woods.
The series debuted in September and attracted a 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.47 million viewers. With a lot of buzz, it seemed like ABC had a hit. For week two, the ratings dropped to a still very respectable 3.7 and 10.73 million.
But then viewership just kept falling, hitting a low of a 2.1 in the key demo and just 7.1 million viewers. Then, ABC pulled the series for three months. The spin was that they would relaunch FlashForward after the Olympics.
The network gave the return a significant amount of promotion but it didn’t help. FlashForward’s ratings were even worse and they just kept dropping. They’ve gotten so bad that The CW has been beating them in the demo.
To no surprise, ABC has cancelled FlashForward after one season of 20 episodes. The series finale will air in two weeks, on May 27th.

Flash Forward was one of the greatest shows I had ever watched and today my mom decided to tell me that it will not be coming back. I am extremely disappointed in this because the show ended with so many questions in the air. I don’t understand why it stopped so suddenly and why ABC cant even make one last episode to answer all of our questions at least.
Please, bring back Flashforward. I am from Brasil and have watched all 22 episodes and got a little frustrated because it stopped so suddenly. The same thing happened to Eli Stone, another original and very good story. And other shows that are very bad in my opinion are still on the air. I understand that this is about money but isn’t there a way to save this show?
I really want this show back on TV. What a loss!

Wow what a loss it was a very good show i only came back to network TV for this show well i,m gone again when someone gets some guts and can stand up for a good TV show like this i will be back maybe.

I agree. I had no idea it was cancelled until today. The least they could have done was have a finale explaining what happened. It looks like ABC needs a lesson in programming.

This show was written as well as Lost. What a shame…..it was new, fresth and had a great story line…wanting to keep you coming back for more. Maybe they had it in the wrong time slot…..other comedy shows …are decent…but did not compare.
This was a big mistake…I hope a Cable channel picks it up.
I agree with all of you. flash Foward was not a bad show it was great. It had a great concept and did not do a bad job of putting it on screen. And I have also left a comment on abc’s website like Jeanna. I think anyone who feels this way should do the same thing. Hey maybe we can get some of those answers. Ya never know.
I have been waiting and waiting for the next season of Flash Forward. Now I find out it has been canceled! What a bummer!!! I subscribe to the Guide and never saw anything in there about cancellation. It was one of the few interesting shows of the season. Some shows just need a little more time to catch on, and some are canceled too soon!! Whoever is doing the programming at ABC should go back to school!!!!!!!
Flash Forward (at the veryleast) deserved an ” ENDING”! Cliffhangers Stink!!!! At least explain the concept!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez! ABC reely sucks more than any series they have cancelled over then past 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they bring back the show! Seriously!! We went through that whole rollercoaster ride just to find out …..nothing!?!? what the heck!
I wanna know who causes the blackouts…what happens to Janice and her pregnancy…. what you do mean in the flashforward when they tell katie they found him?? are we talking about mark?

I think the writers should just say **** you ABC and find a network that is smart enough to keep a great show on the air right when the story is really starting to develop. Like I said before **** you ABC **** you!
