The ABC TV show about what happens in the future apparently doesn’t have one. FlashForward has been cancelled after one season.
FlashForward begins as the world’s population blacks out for 137 seconds and they “flash forward” to see visions of their lives six months in the future. The series’ ensemble cast includes Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List, Dominic Monaghan, Brian F. O’Byrne, Courtney B. Vance, Sonya Walger, and Christine Woods.
The series debuted in September and attracted a 4.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 12.47 million viewers. With a lot of buzz, it seemed like ABC had a hit. For week two, the ratings dropped to a still very respectable 3.7 and 10.73 million.
But then viewership just kept falling, hitting a low of a 2.1 in the key demo and just 7.1 million viewers. Then, ABC pulled the series for three months. The spin was that they would relaunch FlashForward after the Olympics.
The network gave the return a significant amount of promotion but it didn’t help. FlashForward’s ratings were even worse and they just kept dropping. They’ve gotten so bad that The CW has been beating them in the demo.
To no surprise, ABC has cancelled FlashForward after one season of 20 episodes. The series finale will air in two weeks, on May 27th.

This does suck i have been waitng for the Second season to start i even thought i had my dvr set up to record it so i would miss a beat. Great Concept and this is just too bad.
Flash Forward was the most action packed intelligently intriguing shows on network tv….when will the big tv execs realize they gota give shows a chance
This is why i don’t watch tv show unless i know their will be a next season. I don’t want to waste my time and then find out they canceled it. Too bad this one got canceled, would be great if another network picked it up.
What a letdown! Everyone is right. They put something different on TV and we don’t have to listen to screaming idjits on those reality shows and it gets cancelled. It’s almost not worth watching any new shows as the ones I like always seem to get cancelled.
I really loved this show!!!so much action and now we will never know what happened Please put this back on I m getting real tired of these stupid reality shows witj this one you want to watch the next episode to see where it went
Listen all untill WE make them do an accurate Nelson ratings, where everyone gets to vote on shows, we are going to be watching what the 15,000 blonds and men with men and others who like stupied stuff like dancing with the stars and these reality shows watch cause they are the nelson familys and they choose what the rest of us gets to watch and not watch.
We need a better way to see what shows stay are go!

I hate the fact every time a really good series get started why are they keep taking a good show with great actors off the air. My family really enjoyed this show and wish they allowed it a second chance. I’m pretty sure The Event will be removed from the air just the same.
so disappointed!!!….this was a great show but I think the problem wasn’t the show, it was the day of the show!!!…..going up against the big guys like CSI, Greys and Private practise, just to name a few would be hard for anyone but especially for something so different and unique. I hope they reconsider and bring it back.
Really disappointed as it was my favorite show. I wait and watch on DVD after the season as it is easier to follow than watching only one show a week.
i cant believe that they cancelled this show..the stations have a millions reality shows but when they put on a show that makes you think and is very interested the pee brain at the station cancel it to put on another mindless reality show..good going..at least give up an ending…dont cheat the loyal people that loved this show…

I think that stinks!! This was one of the best shows I have seen. I am so disappointed!! You guys did not give this show a chance. Obviously your marketing of the show was not up to par!
Too bad ABC made a wrong decision. Guess I’ll have to read a good book. Enjoyed the show, tired of police & lawyer shows. Flash forward was different. Bottom line, making money makes the decision.
