As expected, there won’t be a second season for Gang Related. FOX has cancelled the summer cop drama after one season of 13 episodes.
On Gang Related, a police detective (Ramon Rodriguez) is torn between his allegiance to his job and co-workers and the gang and crime family that raised him. The cast also includes Terry O’Quinn, RZA, Jay Hernandez, Sung Kang, Inbar Lavi, Cliff Curtis, and Shantel VanSanten.

The series debuted at the end of May to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.94 million viewers.
That was a poor showing right out of the gate and the ratings got even worse as the weeks progressed.
It ended up being one of FOX’s worst-performing summer series. Despite having a small but loyal audience, it was expected that the network would cancel the show.
The final episode, which aired August 14th, left plenty of things unresolved.

WTF fox has to b out of their damn minds,this show was awesome im so sick of shows getting canceled that are really good and then they turn around and renew shows that are terrible or average at best i dont get it,im so close to stop watching any shows from abc,nbc,cbs,fox and the cw because u get really in to a show just to have it yanked out from underneath u,its discouraging,and the least they could do is have an alternate ending if the shows are gonna be cancelled,but no they just either stop it in the middle of… Read more »

What a let down. One of the best shows and writings I’ve seen lately. Clever, a ton of tension and surprises. I hope a different network will pick it up, it’s a great show I was looking forward to seeing what’s gonna happen next!!!
leave it to fox to cancel yet another awesome show i dont have cable in my place but jus downloaded the series and ended up the entire night bc i couldnt stop watching it i cant believe there wont be a second season. try airing it during the fall winter or even spring to many great shows end up being cancelled bc they are aired during the summer when the majority of people are trying to spend more time outdoors while the weather is nice. to me thats just common sense, they should at least try a second season during… Read more »
They cancel the good shows and keep airing the garbage. This is one that had the potential for another 24. But, a lot of diamonds are missed for the clumps of coal that surround them.
Why, why, why that was the best show yet. I enjoyed Thursday nights because of that show couldn’t wait for the next one to come on. Please bring it back
Great great show couldn’t wait every week to see it. Can’t believe you would cancel such a great show. Wonderful cast. So very sad it is not coming back. Maybe another station will pick it up.
There are three generations in my house that love this show. Gang related touches on family, loyalty, ruthlessness, commitment, power, corruption, all the elements of good writing that have been missing in all the lame television shows of today. Bring it back!

U Suck Fox u dont got taste. u only wanna show sex and ******** . but this is a show thats not about sex and vampires but a reality that people can related to.

Wow…. This is probably one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Please make a season 2. The only problem with this is people don’t know about it! You should Advertise it better! I guarantee as soon as people watch episode 1 they will get hooked! Not enough people know about it! Please re-consider!

This can’t be true. Gang Related was one of the best shows on TV (not just summer shows). The writing was amazing and the actors brought depth to the roles. Tell me that this is a mistake or…if the network is not courageous enough to stick with a potential winner that tackles culturally sensitive issues, then let a bigger, braver network benefit from their mistake.
